Celebrate with a Fancy Cake

Can you believe the time has come for another Monday Montage Blog Hop? For this hop I am sharing a card that is perfect for a birthday. I have loved stamping with the Cake Fancy Stamp Set. It's super charming and stamps beautifully decadent sweets. Giving the card some extra visual texture is a dimensional "celebrate" greeting which I die cut and embossed with the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder.

Setting the scene fo my card is a piece of Perennial Lavender DSP. My cake colors include Basic Gray for the cake stand, Highland Heather for the frosting, Fresh Freesia for   the cake layers, and Gorgeous Grape for the bow and flowers.

While the stamps and inks are out I like to add some inside decor to my cards. For this card I kept it to the corners. It's a classic approach leaving plenty of space for a hand written message.

Next up in today's hop is Emily. Click on over and enjoy her amazing sense of stamp style!

Artisan Post #6 - Filled with Fun

For our March assignment our Group was asked to create projects featuring the Filled With Love Bundle. This is an Online Exclusive stamp set and matching dies. They are totally charming and easy to make happy cards. I used Jet Black Staz On Ink so I could watercolor the images. My colors include Boho Blue, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, and Pecan Pie. I also used the Perennial Postage and Stylish Shapes Dies for both cards.

Enduring Beauty for a Monday Montage Hop

It's Monday Montage time! Welcome to the Hop and to my Blog. Take a look at this crisp white and yellow floral card. I created this using the Enduring Beauty Bundle. Believe it, or not, this card came together pretty quick. The reason is because of the coordinating masks that match the stamps and dies.

The main image of the stamp set is a large bouquet. I stamped it once, added the layers of color with the masks, and then chopped it in half to have plenty of stamped details to fill my card.

Thanks for visiting with me today. Next up in our hop is Emily. She always makes the best stuff!

Artisan Post #5 - Paper Pumpkin Sweet Springtime

For the Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit I was asked to create two alternative projects. I totally enjoyed this opportunity as the elements of this kit were outstanding. I loved the card bases, the variety of the die cuts, the printed envelopes, the two sizes of cards, a goodie box, and awesome stamps.

I made a peek through flap card for my first project. This type of card fold/layout allows for lots of spots to embellish and add bits of paper crafting fun.

For my second project I made a box in a card and wrapped it in one of the envelopes. I included a sweet belly band to complete the entire presentation.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Sweet Springtime

This past month's Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit was AWESOME! I totally enjoyed the variety of elements, the stamps, the colors, the two sizes of cards, and the goodie box included in this Kit.

I created several alternate projects and I'm going to share them all with you today. Scroll down and check them all out.

This first card uses a portion of one of the boxes. I embossed it with one of the Basics Embossing Folders to disguise the scorelines. I also used a Stylish Shapes circle, a scrap sitting on my desk, and one of the flower dies from the Hooray for Surprises.

You can see this next card's focal point was put together with the bunny and chick images from the Kit's stamp set. These two images make this little stamp set AMAZING.

For this sweet slimline card I used only pieces from the Kit. You can't see it, but the white frame wraps over the back of the card.

With the addition of the "welcome baby" stamp I thought it would be fun to highlight that greeting. I made a card and a Square Pillow Box.

Thanks for being here to check out my Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin alternatives. Keep hopping to see more great projects featuring this amazing kit from February. Enjoy!

#TGIF463 is Getting Sketchy

I've been missing at TGIF for the past several weeks, but now I'm back and I've stamped up a little something for our latest sketch challenge. That's right #TGIF463 is getting sketchy. I do enjoy a great sketch challenge. So, for this sketch I used the Lifetime of Love Bundle.

My colors start with a Lemon Lolly card base and a second layer of embossed Lemon Lolly. Then I added a panel of plaid DSP from the Bee Mine pack which made a perfect backdrop for the Lifetime of Love images and die cuts.

Creation Station is Sweet!

A stamp set that quickly caught my eye in the Stampin'Up! Jan-Apr Mini Catalog is called Cake Fancy. Being a fan of sweets, and I'll admit I have a sweet tooth, this set totally charmed me so I had to buy it for myself. It's the perfect set to highlight for this month's Creation Station Blog Hop. Our theme for March is "Sweet Delights and Sugared Dreams."

This first card features a four-tiered fruit topped sugared delight. I stamped with Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, and Sweet Sorbet inks to create the cake and stand. For the greetings I used the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and a Brayer along with Sweet Sorbet and Misty Moonlight Inkpads.

For my sweet "love you" card I stamped another cake. This time I added some chocolate frosting by way of stamps from the set and a Pecan Pie Inkpad. I thought it was a great color to mimic homemade cocoa flavored frosting. I used the Thoughtful Moments Die again for the greeting. This time I colored in the "love you" with Petal Pink Light and Dark Stampin' Blends and Flirty Flamingo Light Stampin' Blend. To finish the greeting and make it glisten I added some Wink of Stella.

It's been fun having you stop by my blog to check out my cake creations for our Sweet Delights and Sugared Dreams Creation Station Blog Hop. Next up in our hop this month is Kathy Kartak. Click on over and see what sweetness she has stamped up!
