#TGIF349 Closure Challenge

To close out 2021 our challenge at #TGIF349 is all about creating a closure for your hand stamped project.  My number one closure choice is a belly-band, so that's just what I did.  I secured the closure of this card with a beautiful belly-band wrap.

I inked up for the first time the brand new Honeybee Home Stamp Set for this challenge card.  It's a gorgeous set bundled with the coordinating Honeybee Bloom Dies which I used to cut out the floral and bee pieces.  For the belly-band I embossed a 3/4" wide strip of Gray Granite Cardstock with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

My colors for this card include Gray Granite, Blushing Bride, Pale Papaya, Very Vanilla, and Gold all of which were inspired by a shower gel bottle by Bath & Body Works.

I pulled out a couple tried and true/must have die sets to complete this card, Stitched Rectangles and Layering Circles.  I mounted a rectangle under the front side of the belly band for interest and visual weight for the lower third of the card.  It's pretty obvious that the lovely greeting is where I used the circle dies.  Take a look inside and you'll see I used the rectangle dies again.

For the inner greeting I ran the cardstock through the die cutting machine twice to elongate the rectangle so it properly fit the text.  I used a Sponge Dauber to playfully add Pale Papaya Ink to the flowers.  You can't see it, but there are also touches of Wink of Stella in the floral centers and on the bee.

A few more details for the front include Gray Granite Stampin' Blend splatters, Metallic Pearls, Wink of Stella, Linen Thread (thinned out), and a hexagon from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.

"Lots of Pun" A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

Greetings hoppers!  Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop.  This month we are featuring December's Lots of Pun Kit.  This kit is jam packed with lots of bits and pieces that are a stampers dream. I love that there is linen thread and sticky backed embellishments along with punny stamps.

Take a look at all the supplies in this kit and be sure to see how cool the envelopes are.

I made a faux step card desktop calendar for myself.  I totally cased one of my stampin' besties Julie Beltramo.  I used the fried egg image to make my flowers and the leaves are from the cherry image. I think they are whimsical and look a bit like Mary Engelbreit flowers.

Everything for this card is in the kit except for Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends, a Soft Seafoam Ink Pad, and a small piece of Basic White Cardstock.  I stamped the banana five times on Basic White, then I colored them with the Blends, and last I fussy cut each one out.  I grouped them to look like a bunch with the help of a few Stampin' Dimensionals.

I found that the linen thread in this kit unravels into two pieces, so I thinned out a piece and tied a loopy shoestring bow to tuck behind all my layers of goodness.

I will be doing a free online class via Facebook Live next week where I will be Up!STYLING this Lots of Pun Kit.  I'll be making a bunch more alternative cards if you would like to join me you are invited!

This Kit is loaded with all kinds of great stuff, so I'm totally interested to see other alternative ideas using this Lots of Pun Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I'm off to check out each of the blogs in this hop.  Don't miss out on the inspiration and join me in the pun ;0)

20TWO Desktop Calendar

Greetings to our Monday Montage Blog Hop.  It's a perfect time to share with you my latest hand-stamped project.   Using the Hand Penned Petals Bundle and the Beautifully Penned DSP (fall SAB) I put together a '22 desktop calendar.

Each page of this free standing bound calendar is 4 1/4" x 6 3/4".  My colors include: Fresh Freesia, Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Rose Gold, Gold, Basic Black, and Basic White.  I do have a couple cameo color appearances of Highland Heather and Soft Succulent.

I thought I would share pictures of several of the months with you.  The recipe for each page is the same.  I started with background stamping with Versamark Ink, a piece of DSP, next a mini calendar mounted on a panel of Basic Black, then Hand Penned elements, and last embellishments of a variety of ribbons and such.

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a look at my calendar.  Have a super Christmas and a smashingly fun and festive New Year's Eve.  I'll catch you all again in the new year.  Next on our hop is Emily or you can track back to Charlet.

#TGIF347 Gift Card Holders

Make these quick and easy gift card holders!  All you need is a 6" x 6" piece of pattern paper, a scallop rectangle, and some stamped decorations and you'll be set to go.  Join along with our "gift card holder" challenge at #TGIF347 and show us how you present gift cards.

To make this style hold you're going to make two scores.  One right down the middle of the paper and the second is diagonally to form the "lapel."  Glue the edges on the side and the bottom to create a pocket and you're done!  I told you it was quick and easy.

I have decorated my holder with the Merriest Moments Bundle and a variety of ribbons and twine.  The largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies is the perfect size for gift cards.  I used a couple Mini Glue Dots to attach the cards.

Hand Stamped Tags for Christmas

Tags are what I need so tags is what I've made for our inspiration challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I pulled several elements from the inspiration board below to get me started.  First the colors from the upper right corner, then the reindeer, and last the twine bows on the packages.

Two of my tags here at long 2" wide perfect for the Delicate Tag Topper Punch.  I love this type of tag because they are quick and easy and so versatile.  For all of the tags I used the Peaceful Prints DSP from the past Sale-a-Bration.  Each tag is backed with Basic White Cardstock so they can be signed.

I included the Deer Punch on each card along with a Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set from a past kit.  The die cut greeting and border pieces are from a set called Happy Holidays by Coco and Reno.

Much Gratitude and Heartfelt Wishes

The Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP is super gorgeous.  The colors, patterns, and addition of gold foil details make this pack of paper most delicious.  I wanted to include rich purple tones, with warm cider colors, and shimmering vellum for my spin on Stampin' Fancy Friday's Gratitude Challenge.  So, it made me happy to use the Rich Razzleberry holly pattern to backdrop my floral images and die cuts.

I included two stamp sets to create this card.  The "much gratitude" greeting is from the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set and the floral image and die cuts are from the Hand Penned Petals Bundle. Speaking of the Hand Penned Petals, what took me so long to get this Bundle?  It's classic while being current.  It's a lovely set of hand drawn flowers with semi-solid images to fill in the blossoms and leaves--it's a MUST HAVE SET for your stash of stamps.

I heat embossed the greeting with White Embossing Powder and then accented the image with a banner cut and a ruffle of Early Espresso Cardstock.  To make the ruffle I cut a 3/4" strip of cardstock and then broke down the fibers of the paper by pulling it over a bone folder repeatedly. After several swipes the cardstock starts to magically separate.  Once it was ready to separate I carefully pulled the pieces apart and then used the pieces to make my ruffles.

On Basic White Cardstock I stamped the floral image with Blackberry Bliss Ink.  I then used a bunch of Stampin' Blends to color the flowers and leaves.  I used Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry, Cinnamon Cider, Pale Papaya, and Crumb Cake.

I did add a few embellishments for this card.  From the Holiday Rhinestones I used the Pumpkin Pie colored rhinestones to accent the floral bouquet.  Linen thread tied in a bow adds a bit of loopy texture to the greeting and last splatters of Wink of Stella give that bit of glisten that I can't seem to get enough of.

Thanks for stopping by to get a closer look at my Hand Penned Much Gratitude card designed for December's Gratitude Challenge.  Happy Stampin' Elizabeth

All Squared Away Bundle Cards for Monday Montage 203

Have you stamped and created with the All Squared Away Bundle?  It's a terrific pairing of stamps and dies that have such sweet style and panache.  I thought I would share these cards which were featured in my November Technique Time! Stamp Class.

This Misty Moonlight friendship card was inspired by the incredible Melody Hyde aka Hammond and Penny.  She shared a painting on stamps technique that had to try; that's what I've done here to backdrop my greeting and watercolored florals.  Start by partially inking up one of the square background stamps from the set and then use a wide Waterpainter to pull the ink further across the image.  Stamp and enjoy.  I found this technique works best on Shimmery White Cardstock.

Here's the inside of the friendship card.

For this All Squared Away card I wanted to sample the Cork Paper.  This paper is so buttery and textural.  It's lovely to create with and adds such a unique look to your projects.

I thought I would make a birthday cake for the focal of this petite slimline card.

For the candle flames I snipped apart a Symmetrical Stems Leaf punch out.  Cute?  Yah ;0)

Thanks for joining me for today's Monday Montage Hop.  Your next stop along the hop is with Emily Miller Kimmey, or if you're working in the opposite direction click back to visit with Dani Dziama.
