#TGIF405 UR Amazing

When you are challenged to create a hand-stamped project without stamps what do you do? You pull out interesting dies and fabulous designer series paper. That is just what I did for #TGIF405.

I pulled out four sets of dies for this card and they are: Alphabet a la Mode, Stitched Rectangles, Amazing Thanks, and Greatest Journey Dies. Another key element for this staples card is a piece of the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper.

This card has lots of "pop." I used the Dimensional Foam Sheets when cutting the "amazing" and the motorcycle shapes. This give the card some more interest when you don't have stamps to create visual and physical depth.

"Just Wanted to Say" With Country Bouquet

How about a "lovely" inspiration board for a paper crafting challenge? This is our newest challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments. What element on the board sparks your creativity? I went with the color red and lots of hearts.

I have used the Country Floral Lane Suite Collection to create this "just wanted to say..." card. I also pulled out the Stylish Shapes Dies for the banners and a couple sheets of cardstock. My card base is Sweet Sorbet and the layer under the DSP is Petal Pink.

Beautifully Happy Dandy Designs

Greetings stampin' friends and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop. Being that we are in the middle of Sale-a-bration I thought I would share something hand crafted with two SAB products. One, the Beautifully Happy Stamp and and two, the Dandy Designs Designer Series Papers.

I stamped the main floral image from the Beautifully Happy Stamp Set with Memento Black Ink. Next, I used the "fill in" images to stamp the color inside the petals and leaves. I mixed it up. The flowers were inked with Fresh Freesia then I blotted the ink with a Blending Brush. After that I used another Blending Brush to add more color; I added Highland Heather here and there. I did the same process for the leaves and buds using Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz Ink Pads.

I love the mix of papers that I used. They are all from the Dandy Designs DSP pack and they are AWESOME! All the colors are right up my alley.

Thanks for joining us today. Next up is Emily or click back to head over to Cheryl's blog. Happy stampin' everybody!

Memories and More Packs Pack a Punch

Bust out your Memories and More Packs and create! I pulled out a pack of the Texture Chic Memories and More cards to make a couple full size cards and a couple 3" x 3" gift enclosure cards. I also grabbed the Season of Chic Stamp Set and the Chic Dies. What's fun is that all of these products are designed to mix and match--it all coordinates.

This first card features one of the 4" x 6" cards from the M & M Card Pack. I cut it apart so I could tuck die cuts and then reassembled the pieces. Once I had it put back together I ran it through the Stamp and Cut Emboss Machine to cut a perfectly stitched rectangle.

Artisan Post #1: Country Floral Bouquet

On Friday, Jan. 13 my first Artisan Design Team projects posted to Stampin' Up!'s social media. My assignment was to create 2-3 projects using the Country Floral Bouquet Suite Collection. I was thrilled with the task and loved creating these two fancy folded cards and gift box.

This is a bi-fold gate fold belly banded card. It's a super fancy Valentine in a non-traditional color palette. My challenge to myself was to explore color combinations that didn't include any red. While I know red is THE color for love I wanted to mix it up and use a favorite pairing of mine which is green and soft pink. And then, the Designer Series Paper of the Suite inspired me to add bright blue.

I love how my bouquet of floral hearts came together to be the star of this card. The photo below gives a closer look at my hand-stamped heart flowers. I did do some color mixing directly on the images before stamping the hearts and leaves. I used both Petal Pink and Blushing Bride on the hearts and for the leaves I used Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow.

For this second card I did a bit of research. That's right I searched the internet for "country floral" to see what would pop up. I saw lots and lots of ruffles and pleats on lampshades and curtains and pillows. It all took me back to the 80s.

With what I found on the internet I decided to wall paper and box pleat with DSP for my card. I even included a wainscoting of punched hearts to accentuate the 80s decor theme I was rolling with.

This box is super dimensional in real life. The five hearts that fill the belly band were easy to make. I punched ten hearts in total from the same DSP. Five were punched with the Petal Pink side of the DSP facing up and then the second five were punched with the same paper but with the Mossy Meadow floral side facing up.

I folded each heart in half from the dip to the point and then adhered two side by side to form a full heart. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach them to the belly band. I zhuzhed the assembled hearts with more stampin' of leaves and smaller hearts. For the tag I included stamped images which I fussy cut to embellish the larger stamped/punched heart.

Thanks for checking out the details of my first set of projects for the 2023 Artisan Design Team.

#TGIF403 Sketch Challenge

With my Paper Snips and a gorgeous piece of Awash In Beauty DSP I fussy cut a stunning focal point for my card. This card is designed all around the latest sketch challenge at #TGIF403. While I had the stamps, dies, and paper out from the Awash in Beauty Suite Collection to create a card for the TGIF challenge I also made a couple more cards.

This first card is based on a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Merry Merlot Cardstock. Then I layered a piece of Awash in Beauty DSP to mimic the sketch challenge. For the top layer of the sketch I added a white Tailor Made Tag which was my anchor element to showcase my focal point of fussy cut flowers.

For this Balmy Blue card I created a fun background using the largest piece in the Organic Beauty Dies. Instead of using the diagonal grid, I used the negative pieces to create a one of a kind look. Another thing I did with this card is to stamp all the floral images on a piece of the Awash in Beauty DSP rather than white. I think it lends to the softer finished look of the card.

If you have watched any of my stamp classes you would know that I enjoy making "kickstand" cards. It's a clever cut for cards that gives you a three page card instead of a just front and inside. This variation of the "kickstand" is inside the card rather than on the front. Scroll down and see the inside.

My First Color Challenge of 2023

If you follow and stamp along with the challenges at Hand Stamped Sentiments you would know that this is our first challenge of 2023. For this first challenge we are mixing it up with Petal Pink, Pool Party, and Mango Melody.

I found two of the pieces from the Fancy Flora DSP were perfect for this color palette. and struck my creative heartstrings. I mixed those with Petal Pink, Pool Party, and Basic White Cardstock. Being in a floral mood I decided to ink up my Season of Chic Bundle.

Good Things Come in Small Packages or Explosion Boxes

Happy New Year and welcome to our first Monday Montage Blog Hop of 2023!

For today's hop I am sharing an explosion box filled with mini gift boxes, photos, and stampin'. I used the Good Things Come in Small Packages Paper Pumpkin Kit and a few added supplies to create this box. And, I do believe that the MOST-AMAZING-WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL things do come in small packages that are about 9.5 pounds and 21 inches long!

At 1:43 a.m. on New Years Day we welcomed the newest little Price to our family. His name is Archer Kenzo Price and he's totally adorable, soft, and squishy--he's perfect. I decided to make a gift box in his honor. I actually had the box made and ready to go more than a week before he was born. I then had to wait and wait for the pictures, his names, and the date.

This box is created with a 12" x 12" piece of Basic White Cardstock, the lid is a 7 1/8" x 7 1/8" piece of Basic White Cardstock, and the belly band is two strips of 1 3/4" x 11" pieces of Basic White Cardstock. Other added supplies include the Good Things Come in Small Packages Cards and Envelopes add on, Stylish Shapes Dies, the Alphabet a la Mode Dies, Foam Adhesive Sheets, White Frayed Ribbon, and Wink of Stella. I also added a few ink pads. I used Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue, and Smoky Slate.

The photo above is a top view of the box with the lid off. Below is a picture of the box fully open.

Scroll to get a closer look at the hand-stamped details and Archer's first-day birth-day pics. This first picture is of Archer and his Grandma aka Mimi.

This bottom corner pic of the box is of me holding the baby when he was just about 5 hours old. It was taken by my son Nicholas.

This is the upper left corner of the box. Look how gorgeous Jennifer is. You can also see his first and middle names in this pic. Jennifer's family has a super cool tradition which is to give their children Japanese family names for their middle name. I love that!

Thanks for allowing me to share my great news and for visiting our Blog Hop. Next up is Emily or you can click back to hop to Dani.
