Rustic Fence

It'a inspiration time over at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Check out the inspiration board below, give it a quick study, and dream up ideas of things to stamp and create. I used the Rustic Crate Bundle to make a rustic fence to perch a pretty pumpkin scene complete with sunflowers and corn cobs.

I stamped and trimmed four of the crate images to put together the fence. All the other images are colored with Stampin' Blends in an analogous color palette of Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Copper Clay, and a touch of Old Olive.

Beary Cute Merry Christmas Card

It'a Monday Montage Blog Hop time and I thought I would show you a Beary Cute card that I cased from the Sept - Dec Mini Catalog. The layout comes from a card found on page 38. I love the arrangement of elements from the sample on page 38 and found it fit my idea perfectly. Make Christmas stampin' a bit easier by casing your catalog favorites.

Along with the Beary Cute Stamp Set I used the Walk in the Forest DSP to create this card. That DSP is off the charts amazing and totally versatile. I finished with a shoestring bow of Linen Thread and Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins.

Joy of Noel for a Sketch Challenge

Try a sketch today! This one is from Hand Stamped Sentiments. For my spin on the sketch I used the Joy of Noel Bundle, the Paper Florist Dies, and the Happy Labels Pick a Punch.

For a two-tone effect I inked the mixed foliage and berry image with Old Olive Ink and then dabbed on Shaded Spruce Ink with a Blending Brush.  To give the images a bit more dimension I colored the leaves with Light Old Olive and Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends. The berries are colored with Wink of Stella.

I also used the Light Pool Party Stampin' Blend to add a subtle bit of color to the centers of the flowers. To finish the flowers I added Blooming Pearls.

For the greeting I customized the Christmas greeting from the Modern Garden Stamp Set to read "blessings of Christmas." I used both the Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Ink Pads to stamp the custom greeting on a 3/4" strip of Basic White Cardstock. Then I used the Happy Labels Pick a Punch to scallop the tag ends.

"Celebrate" Monday Montage

Oh how I adore the Darling Details Stamp Set and matching Dies. Whats's fun is to mix them with the Masterfully Made DSP and make cheerful fancy cards.

I based this card with Thick Basic White and included Basic Black and Fresh Freesia Cardstocks along with Berry Burst Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper for the "celebrate" greeting.

What I most like about this card is the way the inside layers peek through the card front frame.

A back and forth swoosh of the Black and White Gingham Ribbon is the perfect touch to fill out the detailing of the inside of the card. If you look close you will find several 2022-2024 In Color Pearls tucked here and there.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and enjoy clicking through the rest of our Monday Montage Hop.

With Love & Gratitude: A Paper Pumpkin Thing

Welcome to our A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month's hop features alternative projects featuring the With Love and Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit from September.

For this card I added several items from the Annual SU! Catalog. I started with a Pecan Pie card base and then added layers of Glorious Gingham DSP. Next, I created a lush grouping of die cuts from the PP kit. Under the banner greeting I included a Linen Thread shoestring bow and last I tucked a few Iridescent Pastel Gems for a bit of bling.

I kept it super simple for this treat box alternative. I added a layer of Glorious Gingham DSP and a ribbon to tie the box closed. You can find this ribbon in the Online Exclusives at SU! It's called Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.

This card is a single layer Thick Basic White card base that I did some stamping and splattering. I inked up the leaf image with Lost Lagoon ink and then I added Copper Clay and Mossy Meadow ink with a baby wipe. I had planned to use a blending brush, but I didn't have any with me. So, I improvised and used a baby wipe which I think it was kind of cool. The finished mix of inks isn't as blended, but in a pinch it works.

Next month's PP Kit is called Home for the Holidays. It's mind boggling to believe it's time to paper craft for Christmas. This kit is going to awesome, make sure you are subscribed by the 10th of this month to ensure you receive your kit.

Thanks for stopping by today. Now you can check out all the alternative projects that the APPT Team have created by clicking on each of the names in the blog roll below. Enjoy, and happy stampin'.

#TGIF441 Fall Colors

Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie make up this week's color challenge over at #TGIF441. Since I had all the Modern Garden stamps all over my stamp desk I decided to make a fall floral themed card for our latest challenge. What would you create with these three colors?

For the background I punched seven Modern Ovals from Cajun Craze. Then I layered them onto of a Cajun Craze card base. Next, I spritzed several Stampin' Blends all over to add visual texture. Then, for all the flowers I stamped with the three challenge colors on Basic White and fussy cut them out. I selected a greeting from the Happy Labels Stamp Set and stamped it with Early Espresso on a scrap of linen DSP that I cut from the latest Paper Pumpkin Kit. To finish it all up I included Irisdescent Pastel Gems in several of the flower centers.

Tricky Treats for Creation Station

Welcome to our Creation Station Blog Hop for October. This month our theme is "tricky treats" which is timed perfectly for making Halloween treats. I've decorated one of the 2023-2025 In Color Treat Bags and  made a matching card with a fun combination of SU! products.

I started with a panel of Masterfully Made DSP and then used the Darling Details Bundle to set the stage for Them Bones skeletons and the Bag of Bones tombstone. I had to look through my stash to find just the right greeting that fit my bag of treats and the day of the dead celebration. I found one this one in the So Refreshing Stamp Set.

This fancy fold card, which I don't know the name of, is based on a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Misty Moonlight Cardstock. It's scored in four places to create the fun fold. Along the long edge I scored at 2 3/8", 4", 6 1/2", and 7 7/8".

Colors for both projects include Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Fresh Freesia, Misty Moonlight, Pretty Peacock, Lemon-Lime Twist, Night of Navy, and Black.

I truly hope you have found some "tricky treat" inspiration while hopping with the Creation Station Design Team today. Next up is the lovely Kathy Brown Kartak. Hop over to her Faithful INKspirations Blog to see what she has been hand stamping.
