Basket Bunch HSS #258 Color Challenge

Is this not the cutest color combo for an Eastery card?  And, I must say one of the cutest Spring sets ever is Basket Bunch.  What makes it so stinking' cute are all the line art images, but what makes it so awesome are the framelits.  Yes, all the images need no fussy cutting because there is a framelit for each one.

For this card I added a Sweet Sugarplum panel embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder to back an adorable spring filled basket.  Layered behind the basket is a Lace Doily; one of the new ones from the Occasions Catalog.  They are a must have accessory.  The're a great bargain at (24) for $4.50.

Are you wondering about the glitter paper?  It's a strip of Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper which you can get as a Sale-a-Bration reward stating today, February 21st!  It comes in a pack of (12) sheets.  Four each of Sweet Sugarplum, Bermuda Bay, and Mint Macaron.

Be sure to check out what all of the designers have created at Hand Stamped Sentiments using this color combination.
A big "thank you" shout out for stopping by!

Sunday Succulents for Monday Montage

Mint, olive, taupe, white, and gold make up the perfect color palette for some sweet succulent cards.  Mint Macaron and Old Olive are great ink pad colors for  stampin' the two step stamps in the Oh So Succulent set.  For the taupe succulents I used the second and third generations of stamped off images of Tip Top Taupe to get a perfect match for the layered images.  The addition of Metallic Enamel Shapes and Gold Glimmer Paper take the cards up a notch from nice to super fancy.
Now you're off to check out what Julie has to share with us.  It's totally awesome and I'm sure you will love her post.  Have a most fabulous week and make time to stamp and share!

Bermuda Bay Birds TGIF #95

Is this the cutest theme challenge or what?  You should see all the fabulous things created by the entire design team at TGIF.  Anyone can add their link to the challenge, so whip a card or project with a bird or two or three or more and post it on our site.

For this spring styled wedding card I add two watercolored birds from the Birds and Blooms Thinlit set to a So Succulent stamped background.  The greeting was super easy to make since I stamped images from Banners For You and cut it out with the Bunch of Banners Framelits--you've gotta love those bundles.  My most favorite touch is the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper trim.  To make that I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  Cute don't you think?

Spring Succulents for HSS #257

Spring is just around the corner so we thought it would be the right time to bust out this inspiration challenge.  At Hand Stamped Sentiments it's all about the freshness of Spring.  One of my favorite new stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog is the Oh So Succulent collection.  It's jam packed with an awesome variety of succulents which you can arrange into cheery bouquets.
I used the Envelope Punch Board to create the zig zag edges.  I shared a "how to" for this technique quite some time ago.  If you haven't seen that post here is a link.  It is super simple and fast.  You have gotta love a technique that you can pump out in no time at all.

What didn't happen in no time at all for this card is the cutting out of each succulent.  Yes, I fussy cut each one!  It was worth the effort because I love the finished bouquet.

Monday Montage #87

It's Monday Montage Blog Hop time.  I love getting together every other week to share our latest hand stamped projects.  For this hop I thought I would share my faux watercolored "hello" projects.

To achieve the watercolor effect here is what I did:
1.  I inked up the image with a series of Stampin' Write Markers: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum, Tip Top Taupe, and Emerald Envy
2.  I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper.
3.  Then I used an Aqua Painter to blend the ink and soften the edges.
The ink colors for the Cutie Pie Thinlets box are: Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay.
For the Cutie Pie box I used Water Color Paper which is not typical for me when making a box, but I love how this turned out.
So now you're headed off to Julie's blog of fantasticness!  Enjoy and have a super happy day.

Creation Station Birthday Bonanza Blog Hop

It's a Birthday Bonanza theme for our Creation Station Blog Hop this month.  This theme is always perfectly timed because birthdays fill everyones calendars all year long.  What's really cool in my family is that many of us share a birthday with cousins or aunts or uncles.

For this hop I thought it would be fun to share some springy and cheerful birthday projects knowing that the cool, crisp, and wet days of winter are fading, that spring is in the air, and blossoms will soon be bursting where I live.
This "for you" mini box is tiny and totally adorable.  I made it using the Popcorn Box.  I added a few folds to create the milk box shape and topped it with a Tea Lace Doily.  I used the Oh So Succulent stamps and the Bermuda Bay Ombre Pad to make the background paper for both the box and the card.  The ombre pad is a fabulous look with all the varieties of succulents in the stamp set.
The Emerald Envy Ribbon and Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine pair up nicely with both Pink Pirouette
 and Mint Macaron.
