Handmade Stencils/Masks

How about a handmade stencil?  I made one for myself to create this custom lacy background.  I used the All Things Fabulous Stamp Set and Fabulous Florals Dies to bring it all together for this "wishing" card.

To make my stencil I first cut the doily shaped piece in the Fabulous Florals Dies set four times from a piece of copy paper.  Next I carefully glued the four die cuts together to make one large piece aka my custom stencil.  I laid the large piece on a quarter sheet of Basic White Cardstock and then spritzed over the stencil with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and several drops of Bermuda Bay Ink Refill.

Once I had my background all set on a Pool Party card base I got to the pretty parts--stampin' flowers.  It was fun combining the florals and leaves with pieces from the Artistic Expression Ephemera Pack.  For the greeting I used Versamark, White Embossing Powder, and Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  Last thing I did was to add some Linen Thread and Adhesive Backed Hexagons.
