A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: 10 Years of Growth

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This hop we are sharing alternative projects using the 10 Years of Growth Kit from March. I'm sharing a fancy fold mother's day card complete with stampin', stenciling, dry embossing, embellishments, and sparkle.

I added a few extra Stampin' Up! products to create this card. I used Layering Circles Dies, Basic White, Pool Party, and Polished Pink Cardstocks, a Starry Sky Ink Pad, In Color Baker's Twine, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, and Wink of Stella.

I love the simplicity of stamping off to create a lighter color. The lighter flowers help to make the "happy" stand out.  To bring it all together I layered a Polished Pink scalloped circle behind the white circle

Here's a look at how the card opens. The Pool Party layer is stenciled and stamped. My favorite part of the  card is the leaves painted with Wink of Stella.

To give the greeting an extra bit of character I blended a bit of Pool Party ink behind the label.

If you take a close look you will see that the far right side includes a pocket. A perfect place to add a gift card, special note, money, or a Ghiradelli chocolate.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to click on each of the links to get lots more inspiration.

  1. Can you explain how this card is put together? Did you basically combine 2 card bases? White and pool party? Inquiring minds want to know! LOL. JUST LOVE THIS CARD
