Love Birds

The challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments is all about a photo inspiration.  This love bird photo is SO adorable and I am intrigued by how the birds are snuggled and intertwined on the branch.  So, for my card I went SUPER literal and included two red glittery birds.

Happy Birthday Made Easy!

Hello and welcome to another fabulous Hand Stamped Sentiment's Sketch Challenge. This is a great sketch and with a layout ready to go in combination with the Everyday Occasions Card Kit I was done with this card in just a few minutes. I did add a few Basic Rhinestones which are not in the kit and I grabbed Coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit, and Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Markers to ink up my stamp and complete the challenge. Pop over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog and join us for a fun sketch.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge

The time has come for another color challenge for the design team and any and all of you at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  For this challenge you need to include Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, and Baked Brown Sugar.  I do realize that it's that time of year to be stamping and whipping up cards and tags for the season, but the colors just were not saying Christmas to me.  I am sure on another day they might but they definitely didn't when I was creating this 3" x 6" tall card.
Layered under the panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock, which I punched with the Chevron Punch, is a piece of Sweater Weather DSP.  I little background stampin' with the Beautifully Baroque image was the look I was going for to set the stage for my burlap ribbon rose.  The "thanks" image is from the Thank You Photopolymer set and the scrunchy yellow leaf is a leftover from my Thanksgiving Tablescape pack.

Seeing Stars for Monday Montage

Welcome to our Monday Montage Blog Hop.  It's so good to be a part of such an amazing group of paper crafters.  It's also good to be back bloggin'.  I have been absent from my blog for the past several days and I have missed stampin' and sharing.  I pulled out my stamps from the Everyday Occasions kit to add a perfect greeting for my card.  I made this card this morning just for the fun of making whatever I wanted--what ever suited my fancy.  Now, as I write this post (later in the day) I know just who needs this star filled "Thinking of You" card.  This one is for Cari.
My card base is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Soft Sky scored in half for a top fold.  I added a panel of I Am Me DSP and then a whole bunch of stars which I strung on Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.  I markered up the greeting with Real Red and Basic Grey and then stamped it on Whisper White card stock.  A skinny strip of Silver Glimmer and a whole bunch of Basic Rhinestones to finish it all up.

Super Sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments

I am totally loving this sketch layout for Hand Stamped Sentiments.  For my card I flipped the pieces to the left because the "flow" of the card just looked better in my eyes.  A bit of info about the card includes: A Banner Christmas stamp set, Winter Frost DSP, Northern Flurry TIEF, Silver Glimmer Paper, the Build a Bird punch, the Hexagon punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Basic Rhinestones, and Silver Ribbon.

Oh Holy Night Stamp Crush

Yes, you heard me right.  I have a big time stamp crush on the Oh Holy Night stamp set.  Mix it with Coaster Board and Silver Stampin' Glitter and I am in a complete state of happiness!  The bits and pieces added to my card are all from scraps which were here and there on my stamp table.  A scrap of Modern Medley DSP, a skinny strip of Season of Style DSP, and bitty bits of Champagne Glimmer paper were just enough to make this Christmas card a little vintage & something special.
I started my card with a Baked Brown Sugar 4 1/2" x 11" card base scored in half to make a top fold.  I then ran the front of the card through the Pretty Prints TIEF and my Big Shot.  The focal point of the card is the main image from the Oh Holy Night stamp set stamped with Silver Encore Ink on Coaster Board cut out with the Apothecary Label Framelits.  A Two-Way Glue Pen was used to add the Silver Stampin' Glitter to the edges of the label--my personal favorite touch!  A splash of ribbon frosting and Basic Pearls bring it all together to finish sayin' "have a vintage Merry Christmas."

A Card with Cool Christmas Hues

What perfect colors in this week's challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary for conjuring up cool winter memories.  I love the addition of the Silver Foil and Glitter to enhance the Smokey Slate card base.  And the Pool Party and Coastal Cabana are so luscious together to evoke a magical snowy chilly feel.  You'll notice there isn't anything stamped.  Instead it's all Big Shot action for this card.  I have used the Expressions Thinlits and the Festive Flurry Framelits.  Seriously the Festive Flurry Bundle has been the most used item from the Holiday Catalog for me--how about you?

Sing Along with This One

"All I want for Christmas is you." I do sing this tune in my mind and sometimes out loud whenever I use this stamp. How about you? I thought my use of this stamp with music sheet from the Modern Medley DSP was quite clever and fit the sketch challenge to a "t." The sketch has been designed by Create with Connie and Mary which you can see over on their blog today.
