Hello folks and blog friends! Today's post features the second of my three scrapbook pages that I entered for the Artisan Contest. For this page I started it in My Digital Studio, printed two with Stampin' Up!'s Professional Printing, and then had some fun (new word alert) hybridizing the finished product. My first photo in this post is the actual jpg straight from MDS. The pictures following the first are of the finished page.
Unlike some, I start my pages with the photo on a blank white canvas. Then I add background paper and switch it out again and again until I like what I see. For this page once I had my background paper selected I added in lots of triangle punches filled with more designer papers to create a sunburst effect. I focused the points of all the triangles to meet right in the center of photo. To highlight the photo I added a frame on a angle. I cut around the black frame on of my printed copies and layered directly over the second copy with LOTS of Dimensionals. You may notice that in the above jpg there are three chevrons. I really wanted those on the page, but they were an afterthought. If you recall from an earlier post I didn't receive my print order on time so I had to create a different card. Well the same was true for this page. The only difference from the one I sent in are the three mini brads in the place of the chevrons.
In the title the word "young" was made using the cropping tool on a couple different stamps from Seriously Awesome. To hybridize the page I added loops of Linen Thread and an Antique Brad to the top of the tag. My favorite element of this page is all the glorious Dazzling Details. The flourish elements in the left upper corner and bottom right corner were carefully embellished to really add a splash of brilliance and sparkle.
