You Have to Check This Out

If you love lots of bling on your bracelets, which I do, you'll love this project. I ran some ribbon through a Simply Adorned bracelet and then added Pretties Kit beads and pearls. I picked up a pack of head pins from a craft store and made lots and lots of bangles to attach to the bracelet. I also used the Filigree brads for added panache. Don't you just love the way I used up a ton of pieces from my Pretties Kit. This is the perfect project to use up what is left in your kit. I know that all the hats pins, half pearls, and flowers are gone in my kit. Now what to do with the pearls?

I Don't Think I Could Do It Again

Have you ever made something and it turned out unexpectedly different than you planned? I do that when cooking all the time. We just say "enjoy it because I don't think I can make it the same." It's a case of winging it. Well that is what happened with the "Liz" on my art journal. The letters were beautifully embossed and then I decided they needed a bit of texture. So, I put them in the Perfect Polka Dots Impressionz folder and ended up getting a cool distressed funky shabby look. You can't tell from the picture but there are still touches of embossing which gives an unrepeatable look.

Pretty in Plum

This card is soft and super pretty. With a Versamark pad I stamped the flowers and with Stampin' Pastels I dabbed a little chalk on top. It's an old technique, but super perfect for flowers and the season. The swatch of DSP is from the Tea Party collection. And, for the background if you have not ordered the Impressionz folder from the Occasions Mini Catalog you have just a few days left. The mini ends April 30th.

Scraps on My Table

When I was younger I would come in and ask what was for dinner. My momma always said something like, "F and F" or "L and L" which stood for fix it and find out or left overs and like it. Well these cards are definitely a fix it and find out what it is going to be and they are both made with leftovers. Enjoy!

Tres Tres Chic

Just a couple cards and a Decor Element that feature the Tres Chic background stamp/design. These two cards are just a few of what I stamped to coordinate with the large Decor Element piece that I made for the Scrapbook Expo. The Tres Chic Decor Element is mounted on a 24" x 30" stretched canvas. I first painted the canvas with a beachy blue paint mixed with a clear glaze.

In CASE You Didn't Notice

On page 14 of the Occasions Mini Catalog there is a great card sample stamped with the I {Heart} Hearts set. This card I am sharing today features the With Love stamp set, the Trio Flower punch, and the Beautiful Wings embosslit die. In case you didn't notice I completely copied the layout of Stampin' Up!'s card. The layout is unique and easy to replicate with stamps and punches in your collection--give it a try.
