So, last night my husband asked why when he joined Pinterest he wasn't automatically following me like he was the rest of his facebook friends. With wide eyes I picked my jaw up off the floor and said "what, huh, eh?" So to make a long story short I taught him how to organize his boards, follow people he knows, and create new pins.
Tonight while teaching my stamp class he was on my laptop computer, on his Pinterest account pinning away. You see one thing I taught him last night is that it's a pain in the back side to pin on an Ipad and much easier when you have a "pin it' button in your bookmarks toolbar. Well tonight after my stamp class I had some fun lurking on Pinterest and came across a whole bunch of books, toys, and dolls from my childhood. I pinned the Barbie Camper Van, a Crissy doll, the book Are You There God It's Me Margaret, and more. I added comments like "Oh I so had this and the Barbie airplane too." Then I had a good and hard laugh when I realized I was pinning in his account. Now he looks like his childhood was full of dolls that grow long hair when you push their belly button, Judy Blume books, and lip gloss (remember Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers?). I guess I need to teach him to logout.
Thanks for joining in my laugh. By the way, what was your childhood favorite toy? And now, since this is a blog about paper craftin' I thought I would share a peak at one of the cards from tonight's class. the quick tip for this card is to punch four heart to make a lucky clover leaf.
And a close up of my lucky shamrock.

Oh, you are naughty! You should be a good wife and go delete those comments!! Or maybe not!! LOL! I love your heart-shaped shamrocks, too, especially made from that cute DP!
ReplyDeleteOh that's a riot! I figured little things we're used to in Windows would not be there when you need them on the I Pad. Can't live without them! I too was a Judy Bloom fan! Thanks for the memories! ...and the laughs! <3
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! I used to love the Bonnie Bell Lip smackers - watermelon was my favorite. Thanks for the idea of the shamrock ala hearts. Very cute! I'm so missing this month's class!
ReplyDeleteI actually got a good belly laugh out of your story and I think we must be the same age because I totally "get" all of your childhood paraphenalia. I found your blog from Paper Punch Addiction and I look forward to following you from now on!
