Make it with paper and scissors! That's just what I did for this month's Creation Station "Magical Monochrome" Hop. In an array of green hues I arranged this Turtle-y Cute birthday card for my grandson. All the partying turtles and accessories were fussy cut from the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper from @stampinupofficial.
In keeping with the monochromatic theme I colored the vanilla frosted birthday cake with Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends to give is a mint green appearance. I also altered the turtle holding the balloon. Originally the turtle had a red balloon. I simply fussy cut one of the green balloons from the DSP and replaced the red with it. The piece of DSP also had green party hats which I added to two of the turtles.
To create a more lively background I used a couple pieces from the Painterly Pears Dies to cut leaves and texture. The crosshatch piece adds just enough texture to anchor the party scene. And, the Granny Apple Green leaves, which I colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends, lend to a turtle-y festive party atmosphere.
All four of the greetings were stamped at die cut all at the same time. The Many Messages Bundle makes it so easy. One large stamp filled with iconic sayings perfectly coordinates with one large die to make stamping fun and quick. For my card I stamped with Versamark, White Wow Embossing Powder, and Shaded Spruce Cardstock.
