Welcome to another Creation Station Blog Hop. This month our theme is "scraps, leftovers, bits, and bobs." The challenge was that we could only add a card base everything else had to be a leftover from a past project.
This challenge was not a problem for me because I have a box at the far edge of my stamp table where I sweep all the extra die cuts from projects and classes that went unused. It was jam packed with all kinds of stuff. I dumped the box of leftovers on my desk and grouped similar items and colors then just started putting cards together.
I don't even remember where all the pieces for this "amazing" card came from. Some from a couple Paper Pumpkin kits, but the leaves and die cuts were in my leftover box just waiting to be included on a card. I did add the stamped greeting on the bottom of the card to give it a finishing touch and bring it all together.
This last card here uses more of the rhinestones and lots of Artiscallly Inked stamped pieces and die cuts. Sometimes when I sit to make a card I just stamp and die cut a whole array of things and then I mix and move the items around until an idea or layout comes to me. I had all these pieces because nothing ever came to me and so I swept them all into my leftover box. That was months ago. When I was looking at my stash of scraps the black and white check paper from the Pattern Party pack was sitting next to the bright flowers and die cuts and now it all made creative sense.
I totally enjoyed the reengineering, the rethinking, the regrouping, and the rearranging of leftover bits and pieces. You should try it and use up those scraps that are waiting to become something lovely or awesome. Thank you for joining us today here at the Creation Station Blog Hop. Next up is the adorable and fantastic Dena Rekow. Enjoy the inspiration and stamp happy.
