I'm warning you now that "everyone is mad as a hatter here!" Our Creation Station theme for this month's blog hop is way cool and totally spunky fun. To create the unexpected was the challenge for the team. We were to select a totally outlandish color palette or use stamps and dies in an entirely unforeseen manner. So, what did I do ....
I fell down, down, down into a stamping wonderland of craziness for this Mad as a Hatter Blog Hop. I couldn't stop. I just kept cutting, stamping, embossing, glueing, and going. Would the card making never come to an end?
For my mash up I utilized the Garage Gears Dies to make bouquets and floral accents of all kinds. I love the juxtaposition of the gorgeous DSP with the cogs and gears--it's a bit mad, but it works (IMO).
Most cards have a touch of the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets that have white embossed greetings. I'll tell you it's not easy to emboss on foil sheets. The trick is to not stamp with a huge amount of pressure. After using an Embossing Buddy, stamp with light pressure to not over stamp the words and make them blurry once adding the embossing powder.
This has been a fun time sharing my stampin' madness with you. I'm a bit bonkers, but I'll tell you a secret, we're all a bit bonkers this month at Creation Station. Coming up is the lively Kathy Kartak. Now hop on over to Kathy Kartak's Faithful INKspirations Blog to see her creative interpretation of "Mad as a Hatter Mash Up" theme challenge.
