Rooted in Nature for HSS #302

It is time for a color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  For me the colors seemed perfect for creating some gorgeous fall leaves.  So, I grabbed my Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, the challenge color ink pads, an Aquapainter, and Shimmery White Cardstock.

My first step was to splatter Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie ink all over a panel of Shimmery White Cardstock.  Once it was dry I spritzed the paper with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Yup, I added more shimmer.  Why?  Because I can.  Next, I stamped the skeleton leaves in a random layout.  I inked the stamps with a mix of all three colors for added interest.  I also did lots of stamping off for second, third, and even fourth generation images.

To perfectly frame the greeting I used the largest piece from the Stitched Labels Framelits.  Last touch was Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for even more sparkle.  Why?  Because I can ;0)  No, really I have a passion, maybe even a sickness, for shimmer, sparkle, and shine.

  1. Lovely shimmery card Elizabeth. I particularly love the way you've placed that ribbon - I always seem to get stuck in a rut with ribbon placement.
