Blended Seasons Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! is offering a brand new bundle of products that are perfect for creating in any season of the year.  With these stamps, framelits, and watercolor pencils the crafting possibilities are extreme.  The time is right now to "Color Your Seasons."  For this hop I am showcasing some fall ideas using a perfect color combination inspired by the new Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2.

Playing around with watercolor pencils is always a blast.   I love how easily they blend to create layers of marbled swaths of color.  I chose to mix the Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Coastal Cabana pencils for a crisp and cool palette inspired by the huge leaves that fall and pile all around my yard during the autumn months.

This exclusive special preorder for SU! Demonstrators is like no other ever offered.  You see it doesn't matter where in the world you live as these limited time products fit every season.  The Blended Seasons Stamp Set is filled with 12 pieces, the Stitched Seasons Framelits includes ten dies, and the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 offers ten new colors.  This preorder has begun for Demonstrators to order these new products and it ends on July 31st.  Starting August 1st customers can order these products while supplies last through 8/31/18.

The Stitched Seasons Framelits, are chuck full of glorious details.  I have cut two of the smallest labels to wrap around and belt my card.  The set includes a mix of great shapes, labels, and pieces to fit stamped images from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set.  It's a totally versatile set.

Tips for this card:
  • Stamp the leaves first on a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with Stazon Jet Black Ink.
  • Using the Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, and Cajun Craze pencils lightly add color to the leaves.  I try not to press too hard with the pencils and to only add color to the surface of the cardstock for better blending results.
  • Blend the pencil colors with an Aquapainter filled with water.
  • Add the Coastal Cabana pencil to the background and blend with an Aquapainter filled with water.
  • Run through the Big Shot and the Subtle TIEF.

Tips for this card:
  • Stamp the leaves first.
  • Lightly scribble with the Watercolor Pencils, don't press too hard and indent the paper.
  • Bring the pencil color to life by blending with an Aquapainter filled with water.
  • Emboss with Subtle TIEF.

Tips for this card:
  • Cut desired amount of leaves.
  • Lightly adhere each leaf allowing them to pop off the panel for a bit of added life and movement.
  • Anchor the leaves down with a few rows of sewing machine stitches.
  • Collect color from the tip of a Watercolor pencil with an Aquapainter and add to each leaf.
