Pink Sky Snow Scene - CCMC HOL5

How about a gorgeous and rich color palette for your Christmas or holiday cards.  The challenge for this week at Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition is just that.  When you put together Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, and Soft Suede that is exactly what you get--rich and gorgeous.

Now, for my card details.  First I stamped the Frosty Friends image on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Soft Suede ink.  Then I covered the image with a mask so I could sponge in a sky background.  And guess what color I started with for my sky?  Yep, the Primrose Petals.  It is subtle, but adds for a touch of interest and works with the color challenge.  The polka dot dsp comes from the In-Color 2012-2014 Designer Paper Stack.  For added decor I wrapped Primrose Petals ribbon around the card and tied a bow.  The greeting image comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set and is tied to the ribbon with Linen Thread.

We have finished up the last week of our Holiday Edition at Create with Connie and Mary!  The design team has been beyond FANTASTIC and so creative!  But guess what, Create with Connie and Mary is already looking forward to the Occasions Edition 2013.  I will keep you posted with the details of their next inspiring edition.

  4. You always add such great little details - the rhinestones on the dotted scallop ribbon border, the ribbon with the linen thread, the scallops, little punched flower, etc. Love it!
