Those of us who are part of the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop we love to rearrange, retool, and reimagine the kit contents into our own custom creations. This month I loved pairing the Kit with the Among the Swallows background stamp. I made so many beautiful things. Below are two cards I made with the last few bits that I had. One in a Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive palette and the other in Bubble Bath and Petal Pink.
One of the pieces from the Merry Tags and More Dies is a gorgeous fern leaf. I die cut three from a piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock that I colored with a Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad in a direct to paper technique. I layered them on one of the scalloped labels from the Kit. First, I colored the label with an Old Olive Ink Pad in a direct to paper technique. All of that is added to a panel of Soft Sea Foam that I stamped with the Among the Swallows background stamp with Soft Sea Foam ink. To soften the entire look I gently blended Soft Sea Foam ink around the edges and then splattered Wink of Stella along with Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.
I created this card almost the same as the fern card except instead of stampin' on a panel of Bubble Bath cardstock I stamped the Among the Swallows background stamp on Basic White. It lends to a slightly brighter and more feminine finish.
For the inside of the card I intentionally just stamped the edges of the white panel. I think it's a cool look that brings the card front to the interior.
