Artisan Post #10 - Little Monkey

Tips to create a perfectly spaced background paper. Start by stamping three images in a triangular formation being sure to rotate the stamp in between each impression. Next, stamp a second triangle of images using one image from the first triangle, continue this process until the paper is filled. Color images as desired.

To give the monkey image a furry look stamp on thinned cardstock. To thin a piece of cardstock pull a Bone Folder across the paper in both directions on both sides to distress and breakdown the fibers. Once the paper starts to separate finish by gently pulling the layers apart. If the layers don’t easily separate, repeat pulling the Bone Folder across the paper.

The thinned furry paper will have curled edges so, to get the paper into the punch hold another piece of cardstock behind it to help insert and align the stamped piece. Be sure to REMOVE the second piece of cardstock BEFORE punching as the second layer could be too thick for the punch.

Pre-ink an embossing folder before running cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine. Pounce an ink pad directly on the logo side of a folder, insert cardstock into folder, close folder, then run through the machine. The results are fantastic!
