Creation Station is Gold

It's the first Sunday of a new month so that means it's time for our Creation Station Blog Hop.  Gold is our theme this month and we can interpret that however we choose.  I chose to feature the Brushed Metallic Papers and warm hues like Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, and Pale Papaya.

I have made a bunch of cards and packages using the Fond of Autumn Bundle.  I will say I'm totally impressed by this new bundle which you can find in the July-December Mini Catalog.  The dies are so awesome.  They offer a range of cutting possibilities that are mind blowing!

My "amazing" card is based on a side fold Pale Papaya piece of cardstock.  The next layer is the darker gold color from the Brushed Metallics Paper and it's topped with a piece of Basic White which was cut with the Dots and Spots Die.  In person this is so attractive.

All of the imagery is stamped on Basic White with Early Espresso and colored with light toned Stampin' Blends.  I added a drop shadow behind the "amazing" die cut.  I like this technique of the Blushing Bride peeking from behind the gold; it gives a bit of color and dimension without needing to add microscopic pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals.

The photo above is a look at he inside of the first card.  Next I'll share more about my second gold infused "thanks" card.  This card includes a gorgeous Vellum Cardstock die cut.  The lacy look of the die cut adds such a beautiful and visually textured element to the card.

I did embellish my cards with gold cord from the Simply Elegant pack and white sequins from the Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins.

I had some extra pieces that I was going to use on the card fronts and didn't but, I thought they worked well for the inside.

Are you loving using gold tones in the fall season?  Well keep hopping and be inspired by lots more fantastic stampin'.  Next up is the super amazing, most awesome, ultra creative Martin Stone!
