#TGIF351 Sketch Challenge with Flowing Flowers

January's sketch challenge over at #TGIF351 is straight up cool.  The right justification of the series of rectangles is wide open to interpretation--you can do anything with it.  Pop over to TGIF and see what we have all come up with.  For my spin on this sketch I used the gorgeous Flowing Flowers Stamp Set.

I stamped my own piece of designer series paper.  I inked up the floral image with Flirty Flamingo and Gray Granite to pretty up a panel of Basic White Cardstock.  And, when I say "pretty up" this is so true.  The "distinktive" image is super beautiful and stamps such amazing dimension.

Tucked behind the stack of rectangles is a Gray Granite die cut which I cut from the Artistic Dies. Under the greeting I included a scallop border of Rose Gold Specialty Paper.  The black dot paper was a scrap on my table.  It comes from the Pattern Party pack of paper.  I splattered Wink of Stella, tied a Linen Thread bow, and added silver Metallic Pearls for a big finish.

I prefer top for vertical cards.  That seems to be what I gravitate to when I am making cards.  How about you?  What's your go to style?

  1. This is gorgeous! I struggle with Gray Granite, but I love this color combo...maybe I'll give it a try! I gravitate towards top fold cards, too...they photograph better as well, LOL!
