World's Greatest: A Paper Pumpkin Thing

It's time to Up!STYLE your August Paper Pumpkin Kit!  I have made a dozen alternative projects using the pieces from the World's Greatest PP Kit that range from masculine and tailored to a juxtaposition of classic with floral.  In this post I'm sharing a few.  Over the next several days I will post the rest of my hand made paper crafted projects.

I adore this "pursealope" 3D package I made using one of the envelopes.  My inspiration for this pursealope was a four star general's uniform.  I impressed myself with this and I love the finished look which is crisp and sharp.  To make a pursealope simply score along the bottom edge of the envelope at 1" and fold to form a bag style bottom.

I call this next project a "swing tunnel" card.  For this clean and dimensional card you will need one of the white card bases, one of the Bumblebee watercolor pieces, two of the vellum laurel leaf sprays, and an added half sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the opening in the card base and to reduce the Bumblebee panel (save the cut out and frame pieces for the next project).

With the half sheet of Whisper White score it at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", and 6 3/8".  Trim about a 1/16" off each end and then mountain fold on all three scorelines.  Adhere the folded white cardstock inside the card base being sure to put adhesive where it will NOT show.  Adhere your decorated focal panel on the right side of the inner white folded piece.

For this shaker card I used the leftover pieces from the card above.  I also added a Detailed Bands Whisper White Die Cut and a Linen Thread shoestring style bow to soften the look.
