Being the first Sunday of April it's time for the Creation Station Design Team to all get together to share our latest stamped projects. I think this month's "It's What's on the Inside That Counts" theme is pretty awesome. The challenge was to create a card that is simple on the front with a sneak peek of something ultra special on the inside.
I've made a vertical gate fold card in blue and green tones to match the Country Club Designer Series Papers. I needed a very special birthday card for my dad so, I grabbed the Broadway Birthday Stamp Set, the Broadway Lights Dies, along with the Well Written Dies. To give things a boost in style I also incorporated the blue and green Noble Peacock Foils.
Now, because I made a Double Diamond Pop Up style card it's super puffy! So, to keep it closed I made a Night of Navy belly band tied with twine from the Country Club Combo Pack.
TA DA! Here is the inside--this is where the party's at! I've got lots of navy, green, and mint balloons, party hats, spots of masculine style sparkle, and a festive greeting all stratecgically arranged on the dimensional diamond green and white plaid backdrop.
All of the elements were carefully placed to be sure that the card would still easily fold and nothing would get bent or caught up. For the vellum balloons I adhered them to the die cut strings and then only added glue behind the string to attach them to the card.
Here's a closer look.
