Oh how I so LOVE Tuesdays! And I especially loved last Tuesday. Why? Tuesdays are my day off and this past Tuesday I had nothing on my agenda. So, I turned the day into an all day stamp fest. In total I completed 24 cards!
How did I make so many? Well, first I finished up two Paper Pumpkin Kits, so there is 19 cards right there. The remaining five cards were a total indulgence of stamp creativity.
I stamped, blended, detail cut, arranged, and embellished to my hearts content using the Free as a Bird Stamp Set. For our Monday Montage Hop I am sharing three of my indulgent cards from last Tuesday. Check back later this week for the other two.
While all three of these cards are different, they each have the same ingredients and ideas. All have die cuts with stitching, they have sentiments stamped directly on the card base with black ink, twine is included is some fashion, and all of the birds shimmer with Wink of Stella while al the flowers are detailed with touches of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
The shaped and stitched background piece for the "hello" card is from the Stitched Labels Framelits. The long tailed bow is tied with a leftover piece of pink and silver baker's twine from the Aug. '18 Paper Pumpkin Kit. I wish I had lots more of that :0)
I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies for the "thank you" card and Stitched Shapes Dies for the "friendship" card. I unraveled threads from the Nature's Poem Twine for these two as well. You might also see that I added a bit of quilted stitching using one of the pieces from the Stitched Labels Set. I have to say that for me the charm of these three cards is not only the bird imagery, but I adore the soft-pastel light and breezy colors. The mix of Blushing Bride and Purple Posy is my favorite.
Thanks for letting me ramble on about my day off. Next up along today's Monday Montage Blog Hop is Julie Warnick. Let's both pop over to see what she has be creating.
