October Creation Station Blog Hop

I just love the first Sunday of each month.  It is the day I get to hop with some uber talented stampers from all around the world.  Our theme for October is "Layered Leaves" and I have a trio of cards and lined envelopes to share.

For my layered leaves cards I brought out my Botanical Bliss Stamp Set and the Botanical Tags Thinlits.  A perfect fit for this theme, the stamps, and the thinlits is the Natures Poem pack of DSP and the Tropical Elements.

I have used the same layout for each card which includes an embellished tag down he right side.  The tag windows are each backed with Champagne Foil paper.  This detail in real life adds such elegance and sheen. For even more shine there are bits of Silver Glimmer Paper tucked here and there.

Another detail included on each card is distressing.  I crinkled the edges of all the cardstock layers under the DSP and the edges of the tags.  This touch really adds to the fall feel of these cards.

I pulled out the Beautiful Layers Thinlits to cut the liners for each of the envelopes.  I love this touch as it gives the card such elegance and style.

Thanks for hopping along with us this month and viewing our Layered Leaves themed projects.  Your next stop along the hop is with Sara Levin.  You will see her amazing stampin' skills and beautiful projects that will surely make you get up and want to stamp.
