Snow is Glistening Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

It's here, the most wonderful time of the year--stampin' and hand crafting for the holidays.  And what better way to kick off the season of creating than with NEW STAMPS AND ACCESSORIES!
One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is being able to preorder products.  This October we, as demonstrators, get to purchase some fabulous new things from the Snowflake Showcase to get ready for November classes filled will all sorts of awesomeness.
There are two new stamp sets being offered in this promotion and I am featuring the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set, along with the new Velvet Paper, Snowflake Trinkets, and the Snowfall Thinlits.  I have created some projects that are for the avid stamper and crafter.  Since demonstrators can preorder we have a bit of extra time with these products to do some ultra fancy hand crafting ;0)
Snow is Glistening Stamp Set (item 149742 $21 USD)

My first card I am sharing is a non-traditional Christmas card that is striking and bold with color and dimension.  I have featured white embossed stamp images from the Snow is Glistening Set and the Snowflake Trinkets (item 149620 $8 USD).  The surprise element on this card is the Night of Navy DSP from the Twinkle Twinkle pack and the crimped silver metallic thread.

Tips for this card:
1.  Using a direct to paper technique add/brush Whisper White Craft Ink to the DSP edges then heat emboss with White Embossing Powder.
2.  Stamp several tiny snowflakes on the DSP and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder.
3.  Separate the silver thread from the Petal Pink & White Baker's Twine and adhere to the back of the tree to add "movement" and interest to the card.
4.  Stamp the "Merry Christmas to you" on a Powder Pink banner with Blueberry Bushel Classic Ink.
5.  Stamp "and Peace on Earth to all the world" inside the card with Whisper White Craft Ink.
6.  Finish with (3) clear pieces from the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets in the centers of tree stamped snowflakes.

Snowfall Thinlits (item 149692 $39 USD)

This next Christmas card has a bit more of a retro vibe with the sweeping White Velvet Paper (item 149619 $5 USD) snowflakes that swirl up the stamped tree.  I used the Snowfall Thinlits to cut the GLORIOUS sting of snowflakes, which I am loving, and I also enjoying the blend of Powder Pink, Silver, and Blueberry Bushel, it fits that retro feel.

Tips for making this card:
1.  To easily punch up the wow of this card use the Silver Foil Edged Cards and Envelopes.
2.  Using a direct to paper technique add/brush Whisper White Craft Ink to the edges then heat emboss with White Embossing Powder.
3.  Stamp the medium snowflakes on the Powder Pink panel and heat emboss with White EP.  While the powder is still hot and tacky sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the snowflakes then set with heat.
4.  Add several of the clear circles to the centers of snowflakes from the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets and the "merry" from the Festive Farmhouse Elements.
This custom Window Box is all about the snowflake bow on top.  I have featured the White Velvet Paper with layers of die cut snowflakes.  This paper is amazing in person.  It's a bright white and feels soft and fuzzy just like velvet, you have to get some.  On top of the white velvet snowflakes are Silver Glimmer Paper snowflakes with hot pink rhinestones.  Topping the entire bow and tiny tag is a Snowflake Trinket with a hot pink colored center rhinestone.
When decorating the Window Boxes I like to wrap them in a matching belly band to which I attach all my embellishments.  I do this so I can design early and fill later with little treats.

Tips for making this box:
1.  Cut all your snowflakes at the same times for quicker production.
2.  Color Basic Rhinestone Jewels with Rich Razzleberry and Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends Markers to give them a bright hot pink color.
3.  Color the rhinestone center of a Snowflake Trinket with the same Blends Markers.
4.  Layer the Snowflake Trinket on one of the hexagon tag pieces from the Christmas Tags Thinlits, it's a perfect fit.
5.  Tie the tags to the layered snowflake bow using Medium Night of Navy Baker's Twine.
6.  Attach all the pieces to a 1 3/4" belly band cut from the same Twinkle Twinkle DSP.
These new stamps and accessories in the Snowflake Showcase are a wonderful compliment to the winter season of stamping and class prepping.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit here at my blog and seeinginkspots in navy, pink, white, and silver has inspired you.  You are now off to see the fabulous makings of Emma Goddard.

Happy Stampin' Everyone.
