Dashing Along Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to our latest Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop.  For this hop we are showcasing projects featuring the Dashing Deer Bundle and the Dashing Along DSP.  This new paper is filled with beautiful, traditional Christmas designs featuring a mix of old favorites new patterns, and book print.
In September each qualifying hostess will receive a pack of Dashing Along Designer Series Paper along with all the other hostess rewards.  Stampin' Up! is adding to the awesome hostess perks by giving this exclusive gift with a qualifying workshop/party order of $250.
My favorite part of gift giving is the wrapping.  I want every present to have presence!  Gifts with fancy bows and handmade tags is just my thing.  It's also my family's thing.  In the craziness of the Christmas rush they ask "where are the good tags?"  So, each Christmas season I make lots and lots of gift tags.

I tend to make tags in pairs of trios.  Once you have a great design why reinvent the wheel?  Below you will see the start to my Christmas tag pile.  I usually make about 70-75 tags every year and never seem to have quite enough.  I add them to neighbor gifts, little trinkets, packages for setting under the tree, and I even leave some out on Christmas Eve for Santa to use.
The tag in the photo above and the tag below are definitely stepped up for the avid crafter.  The elements and layout are the same for each tag with a twist to the orientation.  Each has a layer of the Tin Tiled embossed cardstock which also has a light dusting of snow.

Tip:  To get a look of snow add White Embossing Paste to a Stampin' Sponge and gently dab directly onto cardstock.

2nd Tip:  Accents of Gold Foil, Gold Glimmer Paper, and Gold Metallic Pearls make any tag extra special and take it over the top (my kind of project).
The next two tags are the same just different paper and ink colors.  I love this one and could make bunches in lots of color variations using the Dashing Along DSP.

3rd Tip:  The Tag Topper Punch makes creating handmade tags a breeze.  Just cut 2" wide strips of paper and punch one end and you're done with a tag base.
Here is another pair of tags using all the same elements as the above tags.  These are a bit smaller. I do make a variety of sizes because scale is important when wrapping a gift.  I don't like understated tags on oversized gifts.
These circular shaped tags are a play of theme and variation.  Each starts with a scallop circle cardstock base and then has a circle shaped layer of Dashing Along DSP.  A tab "topper" makes the perfect ribbon or twine holder and of course the gorgeous die cut deer is the focal of each tag.
All month long some of the Artisan Design Team will be going live with videos of their Dashing Along projects.  I would like to invite you to my Facebook live video on Tuesday, Sept 18th at 1:00 PST.  I will demonstrate tips and tricks for these tags, packaging, and more!  You can find me at my Seeinginkspots Facebook Page.
Thanks for hanging out at my blog to see my Dashing Deer Christmas gift tags.  Next up you'll be visiting with Emma Goddard.  She has put together a couple things that are going to blow your mind.
