This month our theme for the Creation Station Blog Hop is "Man Made." What does that mean? We can interpret the theme however we want. I thought of stuff made for men, something a bit masculine. And that's what I was going for until...
I added a couple striped party blowers in Poppy Parade and Mint Macaron.
Instead of some cool cards for men I suddenly had cards for perfectly suited for an Elf on the Shelf theme. I was totally loving my Granite Grey, Shaded Spruce, Mint Macaron, Poppy Parade, and Gold Glimmer cards until I added those pesky blowers. Thing is once they were sewn down I couldn't get them off without ruining the card. So, there you have it I made three cards designed for Saint Nick, Father Christmas, and Buddy the Elf who might I add are all men :0)
I punched out a bunch of Tailored Tags from Shimmery White Cardstock and then gave each a quick watercolor. Once they were dry I stitched them down to panels of Whisper White. Next I took greetings from the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set and stamped them on Granite Grey, Shaded Spruce, Mint Macaron, and Poppy Parade scraps of cardstock with Basic Black Ink. Then I cut apart the greetings and regrouped them in a colorful layout.
I cut one of each of the Celebrate You Thinlits in Gold Glimmer to mix in with the greetings.
I will say I have used the Shaded Spruce for several projects and it's a color I would not typically gravitate towards, but I am a totally converted fan of this deep saturated green tone. Is there a new SU! color that has surprised you? What's your new UNEXPECTED favorite color?
Your next stop on the Creation Station Blog Hop is with the VERY amazing stamper Sara Levin.
