Stamp as it Goes

Welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  I have a question for you stampers.  Do you create a card with a plan and an idea of knowing what you 're going to make?  Or, do you just pull out paper and start adding elements and let the creative process guide you to a finished product?  For me I do both, but I am truly happy when I have time to indulge in the creative process guiding me to something unexpected.  Today's post features one of those creations.

I had absolutely no plan to make a Valentine card, but I had strips of Modern Medley DSP on my table and and they looked great on Real Red card stock.  I also had some Red Glimmer and Gold Foil arrows from an earlier project so I threw them in the mix and knew for sure I was making a love themed card.  My next step was to find a stamp that would fit right in, so I grabbed Perfectly You.  The stamp set was a hostess set in the Holiday Catalog--it's such an awesome set.  I cut the hearts with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits and my last details are all about Gold Glitter, Gold Bakers Twine, and Sequins.

  1. CUTECUTECUTE!! FUNFUNFUN!! LOVE all the different elements going on here (and what's NOT to love about the black/white/red/gold color combo??)!! This just made me smile BIG when I saw it!!

  2. I don't know how you do it -- your cards are always so amazingly creative! I usually start with a plan and then let it go from there. If I don't, it can take me a LONG time to come up with something. You make it look so easy! I love all of the sparkle on this and the mix of dsp. Beautifully done, Elizabeth!

  3. What a fun card! I love all the glimmer paper and how you outlined the heart in gold glitter. Love it!

  4. Gorgeous card! I love the overlapping of the Gold Foil and Red Glimmper Paper heart and arrows-very nice touch! I also love the glitter outline of your scalloped heart. Fabulous Valentine card!!

  5. Gold is back and what wonderful ways you've used it on your card! I love all the elements on your card and how you put them all together. Your creativity always amazes me! Fabulous card!
