A Paper Pumpkin Thing "Life is Sweet"

Hello Paper Pumpkin fans! Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month's hop features the Life is Sweet Kit from June 2024 and wow is this a beauty. It's jam packed with all kinds of gorgeous bits and bobs.

For this Peach Pie colored card I included the Thanks and Beyond dies, which were designed to coordinate with this Kit, and the everything else is part of the Life is Sweet Kit. I flipped the leaf frame over and used the white side to soften the look. I cut apart one of the large leaves die cut and tucked the pieces here and there behind the peaches. I touched and rubbed a bit of Whisper White Ink to each of the cut apart leaves to help them match the peach leaves.

Another alternative I made is a fancy fold card and belly band. I started with a 5 1/2" x 11 Pool Party card base. I cut apart one of the envelopes to create the belly band and then tied it with the Petal Pink and White Diagonal 1/4" Ribbon. I used the Petal Pink color and it's amazing how it takes on a peach tone when wrapped around the peach belly band.

I scored along the long edge to create accordion gate folds and then added all of my decor to the left side of the card base. My focal decor is mounted on a large label cut from the Citrus Blooms Dies and half of one of the peach card bases from the Kit. I love how this Kit coordinates with the Citrus Blooms Dies!

I mentioned the Citrus Blooms Dies, but I also used the Citrus Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped the large white Stylish Shapes circle with the small background image from Citrus Blooms to add visual interest then I smeared the circle with gold Metallic Enamel Effects.

Behind the "hello" is a Stylish Shapes banner which I cut from scraps of the envelope that I used to die cut the belly band. It makes the perfect layer to stage and help the greetings stand out.

I did add a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Basic White to the inside of the card. I stamped it with Peach Pie and Pecan Pie Inks and added a few of the smaller die cut peaches to finish it all up.

It's been great to have you visiting my blog today. Be sure to come back next month for more alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits. For now, click next to stop by Tami's site to take a look at her alternative for this Life is Sweet.
