Ho Ho Ho A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

I have to say Stampin' Up! did it totally right when they created the Ho Ho Ho Paper Pumpkin Kit. It's packed with the best elements and the the stamp set is adorably awesome. With that said please let me say "welcome to SeeingINKspots and our A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop."

I made a pretty big stack of alternative projects which I call Up!STYLING. For this post I'm sharing three of my favorites. When I Up!STYLE my Paper Pumpkin Kits I mostly rearrange the elements in the kit and add a few matching pieces of cardstocks and ink pads. Here and there I'll add a die cut or Linen Thread or Baker's Twine.

I did add a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock which I cut using the Autumn Bouquet Dies. I found the "tis the season to be jolly" greeting fits sweetly on this banner. And since the greeting stamp is photopolymer I molded the image on the block to curve and fit the banner. Along with the banner I did add some retired Evening Evergreen twine. All other elements for the card are from the kit. The striped paper behind the laser cut layer is one of the kit's envelopes.

I love the charm of this ho ho ho card. I did add some Sweet Sorbet In Color Baker's Twine and a bit of embossing. The bottom third of the card base was embossed with the snowflake folder from the Wintry 3D Pack. I highly recommend this folder pack, both are awesome.

The last card was lots of fun to make and is my favorite. It's striking in real life as the bold colors really pop. The card base is Shaded Spruce. The next layer is Bermuda Bay. I added both Bermuda Bay and Shaded Spruce inks to the layer with Blending Brushes. Next, I splattered Whisper White Ink and Wink of Stella. Once that was all dry I stamped the sleigh image with Early Espresso and then added all the rest of the focal items.

I did tuck a strip of Red Glimmer and snowflakes which I cut from the scraps of the laser snowflake sheet. I used every last bit of that paper. It was too pretty not to use it all up.

There is lots more to see in our A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. Click on each of the names in the list to see a bunch of alternative projects with the Ho Ho Ho Kit.
