Hello and thanks for visiting my blog and joining us for the "Artisan Finalist" Blog Hop. Today I am showing another card that is chuck full of details and was one of my favorites. When I saw it at convention I noticed it was hard to see as the lighting washed it out. But today I can share how sweet it is. I used some of my favorite colors and accessories like the Flower Trim Ribbon, Illuminate Ink, and the Pennant Punch oh and Basic Pearls and Linen Thread. What would a girl do without Linen Thread? I go through packs and packs of this stuff! A bit more about the details of the card...if you look close at the label under the flower and the 16 you will notice that I inked up the label with markers. I know that is a super basic technique, but it is seriously my "go to" method of inking up images! I use markers way WAY more than ink pads.
A couple details for the card include a light sanding of the honeycomb texture and a direct to paper technique of the number 16. I dabbed the Illuminate Ink Pad on the cut numbers and then added them to the card with Dimensionals. If you look close to the Antique Brad in the center of the flower you'll see that I dabbed it with the Illuminate Pad for added sparkle. From Dara Gloden |
