I was lucky to be able to create samples for Stampin' Up!'s Convention. Once I received the box of goodies to stamp with, I had to send back 24 samples from cards to scrapbook pages to 3D items. Over the next several weeks I will share the samples I made along with swaps and artisan projects--so stay tuned.
This was the first sample I made and for this one I cased myself. I have been doing that lots lately and I am totally diggin' it. I sometimes feel the need to invent lots of wheels when earlier ones I have come up with are totally perfect, so now days I am casing myself here, there, and everywhere!
For this card I started with Whisper White card stock to go along with the new In Color Paper Stack. My color palette includes Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, and Baked Brown Sugar. Before I ran the Honeycomb TIEF through the Big Shot I pre-inked the smooth side with Pistachio Pudding ink. I free cut my own tag and pennants which I sponged the edges of each to help the pieces stand out and to give them definition.
What a great card! Love your design and combination of colors!
ReplyDeleteLove this, Elizabeth! Great colors and one of the nicest cards I've seen made with this set.
