Cheerful Daisies Fun Fold

Welcome stampin' friends to another Monday Montage Blog Hop. I have one last Cheerful Daisies fun fold card to share with you. This one was created with Berry Burst, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Blackberry Bliss colors.

This fun fold is created with two card bases. One that is a top fold 4 1/4" x 11" scored in half at 5 1/2" and a second that is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" scored in half at 4 1/4". As you scroll down through this post you will see how it's laid out.

Here's a look at the most inside view of the card. I did a bit of stampin' and included a pocket. The pocket is sized perfect for a gift card, an extra special note, or a photo.

Artisan Post #13 - Abundant Beauty Masks

This is the time of year to design and create hand crafted gifts to be ready for the upcoming holiday season. This keepsake box is filled with a stack of stamped and stenciled notecards and envelopes and is perfect for gift giving.

Included with the Kraft Notecards and Envelopes is a fantastic box! It easily fits six to ten or twelve fully designed notecards and envelopes. I’ve decorated my box with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and Soft Shimmer 12”x 12” Paper. A belly band secures the box closed and the star of the band is a three dimensional stenciled flower.

Blending Brushes are perfect for stenciling. When stenciling use ink sparingly and layer colors of ink for more depth and interest. I created my three dimensional flower by layering six stenciled flowers. I used three large, one medium, and two small flowers. I fussy cut each flower and some of the flowers I cut off the partial petals. To create more dimension I clipped between each petal to the flower center and then used a Bone Folder to curl the petals.

When the belly band is removed from the box there is a hidden surprise layer of decor.

Before folding the box lid I added stenciling to the liner section for added decor.

To give the notecards a cohesive feel I included stamping, stenciling, twine, gems, and Wink of Stella for each design. Each envelope is stenciled to match the notecards. I doubled up on each design to fill the box.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Meaningful Flowers

Welcome everyone to our monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month we are showcasing the Meaningful Flowers Kit from August. I chose to make an alternative card using the forget me not floral images and elements.

I created a top fold card on a base of Balmy Blue cardstock. On the front I added an extra flap from one of the kit cards and then also added a piece of one of the envelopes that I cut apart.

Peeking from behind the front flap is a Tailor Made Tag die cut. When you open the flap you see a second greeting more Forget Me Nots and some stamping.

The floral image from the kit is stamped with Balmy Blue and the greeting is stamped with the Pretty Peacock Ink Spot from the Kit.

For the inside of the card I stamped a border of the flowers. I colored the floral images with Watercolor Pencils and then used a Blender Pen to smooth out and mix the colors.

#TGIF437 is Beary Cute

Get your mojo flowing with this new sketch challenge from #TGIF437. I used the Walk in the Forest DSP and the Beary Cute Bundle to bring this layout to life.

To mimic the sketch challenge I adhered strips of Walk in the Forest DSP on a piece of Window Sheet. Then I die cut the Window Sheet with DSP strips with the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. For the bear I used the Bear Punch and then fussy cut the scarf and tree.

The Joy of Noel

It's sketch time over at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I used the Joy of Noel Bundle to bring this layout to life. While the colors are navy and gold, which I don't think of as being bride, this card packs a punch of in your face glow.

Creation Station is Going Monochromatic

Welcome everyone to Septmenber's Creation Station Blog Hop. Our theme for this month is "monochromatic." From my pictures you can see I chose to go with a single palette of blues. I mixed Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, and Night of Navy colors with a splash of Basic White.

When our monochromatic theme was announced I immediately thought of the Countryside Inn DSP and how it is a fantastic mash up of all shades of blue. So, that is where my inspiration started for this card. Next, I needed some stamps and dies.

My flowers were cut from the Paper Florist Dies. I layered them on a panel of Countryside Inn DSP which I cut with the Countryside Corners Dies. Then, that panel is layered on a piece of Countryside Inn DSP. While this card is mostly all about the flowers I did have some simple stamping for the greeting. I used a birthday image from the Modern Garden Stamp Set. I felt it needed to be simple so the floral dies would be the star of the show.

Two more things to note on this card. First, I colored white Essentials Twine with a Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend. And second, the sparkling navy flowers are die cut from the Soft Shimmer 12" x 12" Specialty Paper. Have you seen that paper IRL? It's gorgeous and colors in the pack include Night of Navy, Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock.

I hope you're enjoying our monochromatic creation. Next up in our hop is the super amazing Barb Pfeffer. Click over to see what fun stuff she has been stamping.
