#TGIF361 Color Pop

So, I took a stab at our latest #TGIF361 Challenge and made a funky, spunky, and spirited card that I loaded with a pop of color(s).   Not being positive of what "color pop" is I went with my own interpretation and went with lots of black and white graphic prints and then added some bright pink and blue to visually pop from the background.

I put this card together with a melange of products.  I used the Abstract Beauty Cards and Envelopes for the card base and matching envelope.  I included a few pieces from the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack and paper for the flowers from the Abstract Beauty 4" x 6" Specialty DSP.

Speaking of flowers I cut the flowers with the Bloom Dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Take a close look at the flowers and you'll see the white details.  I did that super quick by using a emory board to sand off the raised details.  Because the paper has a white core you get the pops of white.

I pulled out a couple other die sets.  The Playful Alphabet for the "U R" and the Amazing Thanks for the black and white typography.

Jar of Flowers Bouquet

I haven't stamped with the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set for a long time.  This inspiration board challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments was the perfect opportunity to ink up this fantastic stamp set.  I colored up a Jar of Flowers bouquet to include Pale Papaya tulips, Balmy Blue delphinium, and Mango Melody alstroemeria.

I backed the bouquet with a piece of Heart and Home DSP and behind that a piece of retired Brights 6" x 6" DSP.  I grabbed a few Honeybee Blooms die cuts from my stash of leftovers to tuck behind the stamped bouquet.  I also had a doily in my pile of leftovers that a I thought looked great layered behind the jar.   This doily die cut is from an all time favorite of mine, the Fabulous Florals Dies.

The sweet sentiment that I stamped on a scrap of Balmy Blue is from the Sharing Sunshine Stamp Set.  I punched the 1/2" wide scrap with the Banner Builder Punch to give it a tag shape.  I also had a scrap of ribbon on my table that fit this card, so I used it to tie around the mouth of the Mason jar.  It's the Petal Pink ribbon from the 1/8" Cotton Ribbon Combo Pack.  I cut it all the way up the middle to make it even narrower and to shabby it up a bit.  To me, this brought the ribbon to scale with the jar and bouquet.

Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack

Today's share is all about the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack along with the coordinating DSP, Notecards and Envelopes.  Because those three products mix so easily these cards were finished in record time.

On my stamp table I had  Polished Pink die cut that was ready to be used on a card, so I included it on this first card.  I think it works well with the preprinted watercolor background.  A few additional elements from the Ephemera Pack and a stamped "thank you" brought this card to life.

My second card features one of the papers from the Abstract Beauty DSP.  I used both the front and back of the paper to allow both sides to shine.

These Masks are Magical

One of the most very awesome products in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog is the pack of Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks.  I can't say it enough "THEY ARE AMAZING!"  Have you seen them?  have you sat down and created with them?  They are super cool.

These masks include six layering stencils.  Three are perfect for backgrounds and the other three include a variety of flowers and leaves to layer and a nice large butterfly that also has layering details.  There is so much you can do with them.  I have made a bunch of cards with them and here are two full-sized slimline cards I created featuring almost every stencil in the collection.

This card measures 3 3/4" wide by 8 1/2" tall.  It includes a handy large sized pocket and I think makes a very sweet card for welcoming a new baby girl.  I designed the card in an ombre of color that blends from Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Fresh Freesia, and last to Rich Razzleberry.

Tool wise I also used the Basic Borders Dies and the Happy and Heartfelt Stamp Set and the DSP is from the Heart and Home pack.  Cardstocks include Fresh Freesia, Basic Grey, Basic White, and Flirty Flamingo.

For this Pale Papaya tri-fold card I used the same tools as my first card along with the Layering Circles Dies.  I did a little combining of DSP sets.  There is paper from both the Heart and Home pack and the Daffodil Daydream paper from Sale-a-bration.

To create the card base I started with a full sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" and scored along the long edge at 3 11/16"  from each end.  Before folding on the scorelines I cut the angle.  To do that I measured 3" down on the short side and made a tiny tick mark.  Next, I cut from the tick mark to the second scoreline on the top of the long side.

In the photo below you can see the mix of DSP.  Also look how perfect the envelopes are?  Those too are found in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.

When you flip the front flap of this tri-fold card over there is a hidden pocket that fits a gift card perfectly.  I say if just about every pair of pants can have two to four pockets, why can't cards have at least one?  I have been adding pocket to LOTS of cards lately and I LIKE it.

It you love these masks like I do, I can help you get them in your stampin' hands.  Click the link below and have some fun doing a little stamp shoppin'.

#TGIF359 Stay Wonderful

With the Honeybee Home Stamp Set and Honey Blooms Dies I put together this "stay wonderful" greeting card.  What helped my whip this up pretty quick was the #TGIF359 sketch challenge.  This is one that totally appeals to me and is one that you to could take to your stamp table and create.

I used a couple other products that coordinate with the stamp set and dies to put this all together.  I used the Hive 3D Embossing Folder, the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, and the Heart & Home Doilies. I did add in some Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and Simply Elegant Trim.  I love the Cinnamon Cider and Petal Pink colors with the gold elements.  It really pops.

I did a bit of resizing to the tag.  I used the Tailor Made Tag Dies and cut the largest tag, but it was too large for my greeting and layout.  So, I ran the die through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine twice.  Once to cut the tag and then a second time to shorten the tag.  When making the second cut you reposition and align the die on top of the tag to the length you want then place the cutting plate on JUST the end you want cut.  Once all that is set up you run it back through the SCEM.

You should try this layout and maybe resizing a die to customize to your exact needs.  Speaking of needs, if you need a stamp or two click on the photo below to shop for Stampin' Up! products.  You can earn FREE stamp classes with minimum purchases.  I'd love to have you join my virtual classes.

"Love Grows Here"

Look at this happy "love grows here" card I made using the Garden Greenhouse Bundle.  I would love to have a soft purple greenhouse and fill it with mounds of blooming plants.  Wouldn't you?  Why a purple greenhouse?  Because our latest challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is all about featuring this color combo: Mint Macaron, So Saffron, and Fresh Freesia.

I mentioned I used the stamps and dies from the Garden Greenhouse Bundle.  For the papers I used a gingham print from the Pansy Petals DSP and Fresh Freesia vellum from the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum.  I stamped on Basic White with Mint Macaron, Fresh Freesia, and So Saffron Ink Pads.  I did add a splash of deeper green for the tag.  It's So Succulent and I cut the tag with the smallest piece from the Tailor Made Tag Dies.

If you take a close look there are some Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum leaves tucked here and there.  In the centers of the So Saffron die cut flowers I added Iridescent Rhinestones.

Like Totally Awesome

"Like this wave stamp is totally awesome" seriously when I stamped this AMAZING image I got a huge rush.  It took me back to the 80s when Ocean Pacific was all the rage.  I mean you had to have OP shorts, t-shirts, stickers, tote bags, beach towels, and more.  When I put Petal Pink and Crushed Curry Inks on this stamp my mind did a fast rewind to those glory days of summer in the 80s at the beach.

I cut a window in the card front using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  I did my focal stamping on the inside of the card to peek through the opening and showcase the curl of the wave.  To get the color just right on the wave I used a Stamparatus to add ink in color intervals.

The pop of the Coastal Cabana color from the Rhinestone Waves Jewels was just what was needed to bring this "totally tubular" card to a finish.

You can get your hands on this new Waves of Inspiration Bundle.  It's an early release product from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  When you bundle the stamps and dies together you save 10%.
