Season's Blessings, A GREAT Stamp Set

It's been a few weeks since a Monday Montage Blog Hop, but we're back and ready to share our latest creations.  I'm going to show you a fancy fold card featuring the Season's Blessings Bundle. Have you not noticed this bundle?  It's on page 94 of the Annual Catalog and it's GREAT!  Seriously, take a closer look and see the versatility and beauty of these images and dies.

I have no idea what the name of this fold is, but I call it the "hokey pokey" card.  Hokey pokey you ask?  Yes, because the backside is in front, the right side is tucked in the left, there's such detail inside it could be in front--that's what it's all about.

I've used the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP to showcase the cool stamps from Season's Blessings. I also used a couple die sets for the greetings; I used the Tailored Tags and Tasteful Labels.  To that I've included the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, Olive/Peacock Ribbon, Linen Thread, and Genial Gems.

The measurements for this card are:
1.  Cut a card base at 5 1/2" x 11"
2.  Score along the long edge at 1", 5 1/4", and 9 3/8"
3.  Fold on all the scoreline as shown in the picture above.

The belly band measurements are:
1.  Evergreen strip is 1 1/2" x 11"
2.  Cinnamon Cider is 1/2" x 11"

I used a Blending Brush to add Soft Succulent Ink to the Mint Macaron Timeworn Type embossed panel.

Thanks for hopping with us today.  Click next to visit with Julie Warnick or back to see what Cheryl Curtis has been stamping.

#TGIF331 Wild Thing

"Wild thing I think I love you."  Grab leaves, wild life images, animal prints, or whatever you can dream up and take a walk on the wild side for #TGIF331.

In my mind I could see these charming animals sitting under a canopy of floral and fauna.  I stamped up images from the Season's Blessings Stamp Set to set the scene for the gang of animals from the From All Of Us Stamp Set.

I made a mask to cover the animal grouping and then used Blending Brushes to add some shades of green inks, there is a bit of Soft Seafoam and then Granny Apple Green and last Pear Pizzazz.  I also grabbed the Stitched Whimsy and Playful Alphabet Dies along with the dies that match the Season's Blessing Stamps.

Stampin' Fancy Florals

All month long the theme for the Stampin' Fancy Friday Designers has been "fancy florals."  I'm sharing a Pansy Petals card that is filled with sparkling gems, shimmering vellum layers, fancy folds, subtle stamped accents, and an interior pocket.

So, first things first the pansies are backed with a bright pink floral and heart die cut.  For that I used the Floral Heart Dies to cut a Polished Pink cardstock.  Behind the floral heart is an embossed layer of Pale Papaya shimmering vellum.  The pack of 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum is luxurious and so so so beautiful.

Now for the cool thing about the front of this card.  The main front layer opens to reveal a small pocket sized perfect for a folded dollar bill or a gift card.

Above is a look at the front panel opened all the way.  When you lift the card open (you can see it's a gate fold too) there is lots of soft stampin' to give the card a stylish finish.

Shaded Summer and Beauty of Tomorrow Stamp Sets

Another challenge is available from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This one is a sketch challenge and I can see lots of possibilities with this one.  I like it.  The mix of a rectangle with a circle really appeals to me.  So to bring this sketch to life I pulled out two stamp sets.  I used Shaded Summer and Beauty of Tomorrow.

My colors were inspired by the GORGEOUS designs of the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Papers.  You can see I used one piece from the pack.  It's bright gold foil on Rich Razzleberry--super pretty.  Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, and more Rich Razzleberry are all the colors I included plus a bit of Gold Shimmer.

#TGIF329 Shaded Summer

I pulled out the Shaded Summer Stamp Set for #TGIF329.  This set and the matching dies, available for FREE during Sale-a-Bration, are pure fabulousness.  I gathered some soothing summer tones to bring this super cool sketch to life.  For my card I've included Soft Succulent, Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, Basic White, Evening Evergreen, and accents of Bumblebee.

If you're wondering where the Bumblebee ink was used, I used a Dauber to tap a bit in the centers of the flowers before stamping the floral image.  I love how the Bumblebee and Freesia blended to create a muted-vintage feeling appearance.

I splattered the Stitched Rectangle layer with Light Just Jade Stampin' Blend and Wink of Stella. Three Soft Succulent gems from the 2021-2023 In Color Gems pack (LUV them) add a pop of sparkle to my card.  I like adding embellishments.  It's kind of like putting on your earrings and lipstick before you head out the door.  It finishes your look.

One Layer Timeless Tropical

For the latest inspiration board challenge hosted by Hand Stamped Sentiments I made a single layer Timeless Tropical friendship card.

On a Thick Basic White I blended Pale Papaya and Coastal Cabanna to create a custom background inspired by the picture in the upper left corner of the board above.  Before I started blending the two colors I added a strip of lightweight scrap paper across my card base as a mask. This mask when pulled away made it look like I added a white layer.  This's a great trick for creating visual layers without adding any extra bulk/weight.

Next, I stamped a row of palm trees using Basic Black Ink and a greeting (retired, but my all-time favorite black pad).  Then, I die cut "aloha" and a bunch of the flowers in Pale Papaya, Poppy Parade, and Bermuda Bay.  I embellished the card with Artistryn Blooms sequins, thinned out Linen Thread, and a touch of Wink of Stella on the "aloha."

Sweet as a Peach for Monday Montage

The Sweet as a Peach Bundle is just as it's named; it's sweet and filled with peach themed imagery. This is a fancy fold style card that perfectly showcases the You're a Peach Designer Series Papers. Speaking of fancy folds, this card pops right through the front of the card to create an unusual 3-D style effect.

I used some "must have" tools to complete this card.  For the window in the card front, the "happy birthday" greeting, and the Pale Papaya layer on the inside I used the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  The round Balmy Blue and scalloped white were cut using the Layering Circles Dies.  My ink colors include Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzaz, and Early Espresso.

Here's a look from another angle that might help you see how this card pops right through the front.

When you untie the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon the card unfolds to reveal stamped images, DSP, and spots to write a message.

This is a view of the backside of the accordion.  You can see that the ribbon is designed to slide through and around to allow the card to fully open.

Thanks for stopping by SeeingINKspots for our Monday Montage Blog Hop.  You know how this works...  Click next to check out what Julie has been stamping or back to visit with Cheryl.
