#TGIF327 Sweet as a Peach

Over at #TGIF327 our latest challenge is all about banner love.  I do love me a banner or garland.  I've made loads of them and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.  This little banner is perfectly suited for my card.

Since I am loving all the prints in the You're a Peach Designer Series Papers I thought I would cut a series of banners to string in a garland to create a dynamic background for my card.  Each banner is 1" wide and the bottom edge is punched with the Banners Builder, then I trimmed the top edge at 1 1/2".  A long piece of white twine strings the banners together and finishes with a loopy shoestring bow.

Now let's talk stamps and dies.  The star of this card is the spray of peachy toned flowers.  You'll find the You're a Peach Bundle is both charming and versatile.  I love how it's a stamp set with a peach theme, yet there are supporting images that give you the options to create many more looks.

Ink colors for this card include Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, and Evening Evergreen.  For the jewels in the flower centers I used a Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend to customize a few Basic Rhinestones.  My last touch was to flick Wink of Stella splatters to give a bit of shimmering texture.

Pansy Patch Bundle with Fancy Cuts

I love the finished presentation of this card!!  Seriously, in real life this Pale Papaya Pansy Patch card is beautiful.  This trifold card has a few extra cuts to make it extra special.  I started with a 5 1/2" x 12" piece of cardstock from the 2021-2023 In Color 12" x 12" Cardstock Pack.  I totally enjoy using larger pieces of cardstock to create luxury style cards and the In Color Packs are a fabulous variety.

Here's a quick look at how I cut the card base and some inside views of this beauty of a card.

Creation Station is Embossing

Happy Fourth of July!  And, let me say hello to our Creation Station Friends who are hopping around with us for our first Sunday of the month blog hop.  Texture is our theme for this month so we're using embossing paste, powders, or folders to give our projects so eye appealing dimension.

Have you had your hands on the Art in Bloom Hybrid Bundle?  The 3D folder in that Bundle creates the MOST 3D images I've ever embossed.  Scroll through my photos to see how amazing this first of it's kind hybrid set of dies, stamps, and folder is.

Now that you have seen how amazing the embossing power of the Art in Bloom Hybrid Bundle it's time to hop over to the beautiful Sara Levin, the Artfulinker.

#TGIF323

Check out this bright and bold color combination challenge for #TGIF323.  It's totally my thing as I enjoy colors that are statement makers and these three definitely together make a strong statement.

First, I started by watercoloring a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with the three challenge colors.  Once it was fully dry I cut out the three flowers using the Bloom Hybrid Dies/Embossing Folder.  I ran a second piece of Shimmery White Cardstock through the embossing folder and then layered that on a panel of Granny Apple Green.  FYI, the card base is also Shimmery White.

Layered in the flowers is a Basic White Artistic floral die cut which adds lots of visual pizzazz.  From the Bloom Dies I die cut some Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum leaves.  If you haven't picked up a pack of the Shimmer Vellum what are you waiting for?  Each color is so so so soooooooooo stunning.  GET SOME!

I think my favorite touch is the addition of the In Color Jewels.  The clusters in the flower centers just make me smile.

Expressions in Color: A Paper Pumpkin Thing

Welcome Paper Pumpkin fans to our monthly "A Paper Pumpkin Thing" Blog Hop.  I have made a fancy folded card that is filled with tons of pretty stuff and fun dimension.

I like to "Up!STYLE" my alternative Paper Pumpkin projects.  I call it Up!STYLING because Stampin' Up! gives us such amazing products and I like to rearrange them without adding too many other things.  I may add ink pad & cardstock colors that are in the kit, and if there is catalog merchandise that coordinates I mix that in too.  For this month I am working in papers, stamps, dies, and ephemera from the Expressions in Ink Suite.

For this card I added in a 5 1/2" x 5 1/8" piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock and the Ephemera Pack.  That's it, the balance of the elements all came from the PP Kit.

While this card folds flat to fit into an envelope found in the kit, it opens and can stand on it's own as you can see in the picture.  This fancy fold is called a "pinwheel" card.

The gold foil Ephemera pieces coordinate beautifully with the geometric labels in the kit.  I have to say "thanks SU! for such smart product development."

Join me July 10th for a Facebook Live video class on all things Expression In Color Paper Pumpkin. I'll post a list of supplies needed on my SeeingINKspots FB page a day before my live video class.

Thanks for checking out my Up!STYLED Paper Pumpkin project for today's hop.  There is lots and lots more inspiration ahead so take a few minutes to fill your bucket with all kinds of alternative projects featuring the Expressions in Color June PP Kit.
