Monday Montage Gets Up!STYLED

I thought I would share a few more of my alternative World's Greatest Paper Pumpkin projects for this Monday Montage Blog Hop.  When I create alternative cards and things using Paper Pumpkin Kits I call is Up!STYLING.  I add in a few more coordinating products from the Annual Catalog and in Stampin' Up! fashion it's Up!STYLING.

I repurposed one of the acrylic window sheets from the kit to make this window/peek through card. With the card closed it looks like a vase of flowers.  When you open the card you get the fuller picture of a trophy complete with "world's greatest friend" engraved on it.

The floral image comes from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set.  I stamped it with Soft Suede on Whisper White and then colored with a variety of Stampin' Blends.  The last two touches include Gold Gilded Gems and Linen Thread.

This "celebration" card is a gate fold which opens top and bottom instead of side to side.  It's held closed with a belly band of Mint Macaron.  I stamped the band with the ribbon medal image in the PP Kit with the Pacific Point Ink Spot, also from the kit.  The white stitched circle is also from the kit. I just flipped over the blue one to use the white side.  Coordinating things I added to this card were the Flowers for Every Season DSP, Linen Thread, Bumblebee Ink, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, and Pacific Point Cardstock.

Are you enjoying our hop?  Following me is the amazing and adorable Melissa Stout.  Let's go check out what she has been stampin' lately.  Or, go back to hang out with Dani Dziama.

#TGIF279 is in 3D

Get your glasses because #TGIF279 is going 3D this week.  That's right we are making cards with three dimensional touches.  I made a card in a box featuring the adorable Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

There are lots of card in a box patterns out there, bu this one is my spin on a rectangular shape created with a 4.25" x 11" piece of cardstock.  (measurements below)

My color palette is inspired by the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper.  I felt the whimsy of the paper suited the gnomes perfectly.  I stamped all the images on Whisper White with Memento Black Ink and colored them with Stampin' Blends.

World's Greatest: A Paper Pumpkin Thing

It's time to Up!STYLE your August Paper Pumpkin Kit!  I have made a dozen alternative projects using the pieces from the World's Greatest PP Kit that range from masculine and tailored to a juxtaposition of classic with floral.  In this post I'm sharing a few.  Over the next several days I will post the rest of my hand made paper crafted projects.

I adore this "pursealope" 3D package I made using one of the envelopes.  My inspiration for this pursealope was a four star general's uniform.  I impressed myself with this and I love the finished look which is crisp and sharp.  To make a pursealope simply score along the bottom edge of the envelope at 1" and fold to form a bag style bottom.

I call this next project a "swing tunnel" card.  For this clean and dimensional card you will need one of the white card bases, one of the Bumblebee watercolor pieces, two of the vellum laurel leaf sprays, and an added half sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the opening in the card base and to reduce the Bumblebee panel (save the cut out and frame pieces for the next project).

With the half sheet of Whisper White score it at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", and 6 3/8".  Trim about a 1/16" off each end and then mountain fold on all three scorelines.  Adhere the folded white cardstock inside the card base being sure to put adhesive where it will NOT show.  Adhere your decorated focal panel on the right side of the inner white folded piece.

For this shaker card I used the leftover pieces from the card above.  I also added a Detailed Bands Whisper White Die Cut and a Linen Thread shoestring style bow to soften the look.
