 Now, here it is ... an inside view of my card.  Sweet don't cha think?  Literally, I put the inside together with scraps on my stamp table.  The Fine Tip Glue came in real handy for adhering the wooden open heart accent.  And, I have to say I was really diggin' how the greeting fit just right inside the heart.

I thought I would try something out and to my surprise it worked out great.  I very lightly brushed a little water on a piece of Wood Texture DSP and then stamped it with the swoosh image from the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set.  I brushed and moved the ink before it had time to dry with an Aqua Painter for a white background wash and to me it's so cool looking.

#TGIF109 Spotlight Rochelle Blok

An amazing starmper/card maker/designer is being spotlighted in this week's #TGIF109 Challenge.  Seriously, I know for sure that I can check out Rochelle Blok's and be fully inspired to create something myself.

The other morning I was scrolling through lots of Rochelle's posts and I noticed her awesome blending of hues of pink with stylish neutrals.  She uses deep magenta pinks with black, white, chocolate, or even kraft.  Sometimes she mixes coral tones with grey and ivory and does it with such ease and perfection.  I also love her passion for gold--what girl doesn't?  She tucks it here and there and layers it with total finesse.

For my spin and a Rochelle inspired card I have used some brand new products that are super SUPER COOL! The Eastern Palace Suite is amaze balls.  I have two new best friends and their names are Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers and the Eastern Medallion Thinlet Dies.  Wowza, the two combined are so much fun to use.  

Just to give you a quick bit of info the papers are Wood Textures and the Eastern Palace DSPs along with Early Espresso, Berry Blast, Pink Pirouette, Dapper Denim, and Very Vanilla Card Stocks.  There is even a layer of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.

Monday Montage #93

Happy blog hopping everyone on this fabulous May day.  We are at it again sharing some of our latest hand stamped creations for another installment of our Monday Montage Blog Hop. Do you ever have stamps or accessories that are your "go to" favorites?  For me the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits is one of those items.  It is so handy for tucking little treats and creating super cute goodie bags, but it also makes a great notecard and special envelope presentation.

For this birthday notecard I grabbed the Oh So Succulent Stamp set and the Playful Palette DSP.  I also tucked a bit of Gold Glimmer behind the stamped succulent belly band.  I think it adds a huge KAPOW to the card and makes it extra special.

#HSS264 Perfect Summer Colors

With perfect summer colors you have to stamp popsicles!

The Cool Treats Bundle is super cute and the best set out there for a popsicle filled cute card.  I will say that these images and papers give a total hankerin' for an orange creamsicle or a strawberry fruit bar--yum!  Be sure to visit the Hand Stamped Sentiments site to see what other fun creations were made incorporating these perfect Stampin' Up! summer colors.

#TGIF107 Powder Pink and Pretty

#TGIF107 - This week our challenge at TGIF is to create something special for those needed occasions when we want to express our love and concern for someone.  I chose to make a beautiful powder pink and gold card.

I pulled out a bit of something old and something new for my take on #TGIF107.  I paired the beautiful Touches of Texture stamp set with elements from the Eastern Palace preview Bundle and Powder Pink ink and card stock.

I included some soft stampin' for a bit of added depth and interest.  I busted open two brand new ink pads to use on this card, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig.  I am so glad the Stampin' Up! added Fresh Fig to the newest In Colors.  It's deep and rich and another hue to use instead of black or dark brown.  You see I tend to like my greetings stamped in dark tones to really pop, yet black can get too predictable.  The new Fresh Fig is fabulous and brings a new vivacious spunk to our color palette.

Check out the center of the fussy cut flower.  It's a Gold Faceted Gem.  They will be coming in the new Annual Catalog.  72 gems for $5.00 and they come in either silver or gold.

Creation Station Men Are Our Muse

With it being the first Sunday of the month it's time for our Creation Station Blog Hop.  This month  "men are our muse' and the Urban Underground Suite are our inspiration.

I have had this idea for a while to make a faux diamond plate window box.  I wasn't sure if it would work, but I was thrilled that what I had in mind came together with ease!  I used the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder to add 3-D like texture to Silver Foil Card Stock.

Construction Tips:
1.  Cut two of the Widow Box Thinlits pieces from Silver Foil Paper.
2.  Emboss each cut piece separately using the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder.
NOTE, for the pieces to fit in both the embossing folder and the Big Shot each piece will need to be passed through twice.  Once to emboss the sides and then a second time through to emboss the top/bottom flaps.  By the way, it was super easy to line things up and not over nor under emboss.

Once the faux diamond plate mini tool box was assembled I went to work on decorating the top.  First I wrapped a belly band around the box.  I like belly bands because the box can be opened and closed without destroying my cute work ;0)

I used the Nailed It Bundle for all the tool pieces.  I watercolored the tools with Delightful Dijon, Soft Suede, and Smokey Slate.  At first the greeting, which was stamped on Very Vanilla, was a bit blah.  Then I changed to Silver Embossing Powder on Basic Black and that was the trick to bring it all together.

#HSS263 Sweetness

This week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is full of summery sweet treats.  It comes just in time for a hot week.  Here is San Jose it is suppose to hit 100 later in the week.  In the hot summer days I love a juicy frozen strawberry fruit popsicle--yum!  For the challenge I thought delicious ripe strawberries on crisp white card stock would be a fun interpretation of the inspiration/challenge/theme.
