TGIF #71 Blooms and Wishes

There is a great color challenge over at TGIF and the Design Team has created some fabulous projects to inspire you.  For this challenge I finally busted out a floral stamp set from the Annual Catalog that caught my eye.  The set is jam packed with flowers, leaves, AND greetings.  I always gravitate to sets that include greetings.  I'm not sure why, but I do.  How about you?  What's your favorite type of stamp set?
I started by stamping three of the smaller floral images.  I used Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride inks and sometimes stamped second generation images to get lots of dimensional color.  Once I was done I spritzed the entire piece of card stock with water to get the inks to run.  I blotted it dry and when completely dry I then stamped the "for you" in Rich Razzleberry.

If you haven't tried any of the solid bakers twines it's time.  They are so awesome!  My favorite is the Blushing Bride Solid Bakers Twine.  To finish I added a few sequins from a past Paper Pumpkin kit and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  If you look close at the glitter it looks like a light snow fall or dusting.  To get that look I use cheap hair spray.  To adhere the glitter I spray AquaNet then sprinkle the glitter then spray again.  It's a perfect and easy way to add sparkle.  Just don't go too heavy with the hair spray.

  1. I look for sentiments as well in stamp sets, but I have to admit I don't remember this one at all. I love the card and even the examples with the set so this one will have to go on my list. So pretty!
