Blossoms, Love, and 1000

Welcome, welcome everyone near and far to February's Creation Station Blog Hop.  Our theme is "Bloomin' Love" and I am glad to be a part of this fantabulastic group of stampers and to be sharing with you all my
1000th post!

My first post hit the internet on February 27th of 2008.  Here is how I opened my blog:

"Seeing spots is a good thing especially when they are stamped! This is my very first post. I hope you enjoy and visit often to see to new spots, of ink."

And so now, almost eight years later, I thought a card of dot spots would be fitting to start my 1000th post.
I am featuring the Love Blossoms DSP with all of my projects today and this first super cute Valentine card is stamped with the Memories in the Making set.
For this next paper craft I thought I would tuck some chocolates inside the Mini Treat Bag for someone awesome that I know.  I like using DSP for these mini bags as the weight is not too heavy nor to flimsy, it's just right.  The centers of the flowers are the It's My Party Enamel Dots.  I find those enamel dots work perfectly with the Love Blossoms DSP (I'll share more about that later today).
This next project is my favorite.  It's a riff on a heart made with two scallop square pieces of Love Blossoms DSP.  I used the largest framelit from the Squares pack to cut perfect scalloped squares.  I rolled each into a cone and secured them with Tear and Tape and then one more piece of tape down the middle to stick them together.
A couple butterflies folded in half and secured in each cone come together to look like one.  The butterfly is decorated with Basic Pearls and a Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper bow made with the Bow Builder Punch.  The greeting, which was designed to go with this DSP, is from the Suite Saying stamp set.

I hope you have been inspired by a few projects today and enjoy the hop.
Your next stop is with Jennifer--she is super awesome!
