Using Every Stamp in the Set!

It's a holiday weekend and Monday Montage time--how fun is that?  Welcome one and all and my wish is that if you celebrated Thanksgiving, your day was full of gratitude and tasty food.
For these two cards I am sharing today, especially the second, I had this goal to try and use every single stamp in the set.  I did it!  With colors reminiscent of Shiny Bright Christmas glass ornaments I stamped a background that's fun and a skosh funky.

Oh What Fun

Oh what fun it is to stamp a watercolor tag! I just love the Oh What Fun stamp set of images as they are a perfect array of festive, reminiscent, trend setting sentiments for all your Christmas tags, bags, boxes, cards, and treats.  And I just love mixing Real Red with Pool Party ink and various gold trims and ribbons for a cheery presentation.
For both tags I cut 2" wide strips of watercolor paper.  Next I punched the end of the paper with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  It's important to punch before doing and watercoloring as you don't want to have to wait for the paper to dry to get a super crisp and clean punch.  For this wash of color I used an Aquapainter brush and Pool Party Reinker.  Once it was dry I stamped the greeting images with Real Red.

Stamp a Bag is Perfect

For the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge the Stamp a Bag stamp set is totally perfect for their latest challenge.  I figured that out when I opened my stamp cabinet and the set jumped out to me.

I decided to ink the set up for the first time with an ombre of color added to the six circles image.  I used Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, and Lost Lagoon to create the blend of colors.  Next, I stamped the crosshatch image directly over the solid circles using the matching color.  A few simple trees and a Snowflake Element make for the focal point, but my favorite thing about the card is the greeting.  I just love the Blackberry Bliss color.  I could have gone with a dark brown or black or gold, but I wanted a color and not a neutral.  So, I went with my first impression which was the blackberry.  I love this color combo of greens, blues, purples, kraft and gold.  What is your favorite color combo right now?

Peaceful Pines

Hello Stamp Friends everywhere!  It's another fun chance to click through a Monday Montage Blog Hop.  You may have just arrived here from Dani's Blog where she shared some fabulousness with all of us.  I am thankful for her awesome talents :0)  For my chance to share I am showing off my clean take on the stamp set Peaceful Pines and the coordinating Framelits.

My card base is a top fold Crumb Cake with a layer of Kraft Corrugated Paper.  You may be thinking why not use Kraft card stock, well I was out of Kraft so I had to turn to the Crumb Cake and while they are slightly different, the two colors work for me with just a hint of interest.  The focal pine tree is stamped with Lost Lagoon ink on Whisper White.
A few other details include: Silver Glimmer Paper for the stars and the back of the tree on the right, White Glimmer Paper for the tree on the left, a Snowflake Wooden Element, Basic Rhinestones embedded in the decorative holes, a Linen Thread shoestring bow, and loops of both Silver and Gold Metallic Thread behind the center tree.

Freshly Made Sketch

I was looking for some inspiration so I clicked over to one of my favorite blogs, Amy's Paper Crafts, and saw this great card and sketch.  From there I jumped over to Freshly Made Sketches to see the great ideas from their design team.  I was thrilled to find so many clean and stylish cards.  So I decided to join along in their challenge and make a card combining the sketch with the Peaceful Pines stamp set.

Gorgeous Fall Tones

Guess what?  It's raining in San Jose California!  You may think that is no big deal, but it is a very big deal.  For a VERY long time the weather forecast will include possible rain, but it never even clouds up.  And now since the middle of the night it has been pouring rain almost non-stop.  Why do a mention all of this?  Because, getting a good picture of today's Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge card is close to impossible.  It's too bad because this is a beauty in person.   Now don't get me wrong I am super grateful for the rain.
To start the card I created a watercolored background using the Woodgrain TIEF.  First I inked up the folder with Delightful Dijon, then Blackberry Bliss, and lastly Mossy Meadow.  Once inked up the way I liked I spritzed the folder with water to blend the colors.  After that I closed the folder with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock inside and then ran it through the Big Shot to emboss a colorful background.  Next, I added a beautiful piece of the Wintertime Vellum and then some fall elements.  I added a bit of washi tape, ribbon, crumpled leaves, a shadowed gold glimmer "thanks," some bakers twine, and a vellum greeting.  The stamped greeting comes from the Sweet Stack set.  I used markers to ink the image which allowed me to omit the last part of the stamp I didn't want to include.

Mostly Monochromatic

It's mostly all Watermelon Wonder and it's super cute.  It looks like a slice of cake and it's made with the Cutie Pie Thinlets box.  This box comes together very easily and when paired with it's complementing stamp set, Sweet Stack, it's WAY COOL.  I mean take a look--isn't it cute?  For me it's the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and all the ribbon remnants that gives this box it's charm.
