I am totally loving this sketch layout for Hand Stamped Sentiments. For my card I flipped the pieces to the left because the "flow" of the card just looked better in my eyes. A bit of info about the card includes: A Banner Christmas stamp set, Winter Frost DSP, Northern Flurry TIEF, Silver Glimmer Paper, the Build a Bird punch, the Hexagon punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Basic Rhinestones, and Silver Ribbon.

Oh Holy Night Stamp Crush
I started my card with a Baked Brown Sugar 4 1/2" x 11" card base scored in half to make a top fold. I then ran the front of the card through the Pretty Prints TIEF and my Big Shot. The focal point of the card is the main image from the Oh Holy Night stamp set stamped with Silver Encore Ink on Coaster Board cut out with the Apothecary Label Framelits. A Two-Way Glue Pen was used to add the Silver Stampin' Glitter to the edges of the label--my personal favorite touch! A splash of ribbon frosting and Basic Pearls bring it all together to finish sayin' "have a vintage Merry Christmas."

A Card with Cool Christmas Hues
What perfect colors in this week's challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary for conjuring up cool winter memories. I love the addition of the Silver Foil and Glitter to enhance the Smokey Slate card base. And the Pool Party and Coastal Cabana are so luscious together to evoke a magical snowy chilly feel. You'll notice there isn't anything stamped. Instead it's all Big Shot action for this card. I have used the Expressions Thinlits and the Festive Flurry Framelits. Seriously the Festive Flurry Bundle has been the most used item from the Holiday Catalog for me--how about you?

Sing Along with This One
"All I want for Christmas is you." I do sing this tune in my mind and sometimes out loud whenever I use this stamp. How about you? I thought my use of this stamp with music sheet from the Modern Medley DSP was quite clever and fit the sketch challenge to a "t." The sketch has been designed by Create with Connie and Mary which you can see over on their blog today.

Soft and Muted Christmas Colors
I always love incorporating less traditional colors for Christmas cards and projects. These muted tones are super pretty and soft and are an eye catching look for a holiday card. I started with the Northern Flurry TEIF which I pre-inked with Gold Encore ink on the raised side. I ran the paper through I upside down so I could get a debossed look with gold details. It's a subtle look and perfectly matches the color combo. Speaking of color combo, this palette is being hosted by Hand Stamped Sentiments. I hope you join us and share your spin and these gentle hues.
I inked up the O Holy Night image with Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers and then stamped it on Very Vanilla. I trimmed the piece up and cut a fishtail in the bottom. Behind that I included a layer of Cantaloupe Crisp. To tie it all together I wrapped the card with Calypso Coral Bakers Twine and then finished with Soft Sky stars and Basic Rhinestones.

Monday Montage Fun Stuff
I think this is just the cutest party favor box I have made in a super long time. It's one of those projects I could see in my mind and then it worked exactly as I thought. And for this one I knew I needed the Apothecary Labels Framelits to make it work.
To make this favor you need:
- Two apothecary labels cut from card stock, add texture if desired, score as shown below, and fold back on the scorelines.
- Two apothecary labels cut from DSP, score as shown below, and fold on the scorelines. Fold back on the bottom scoreline and forward on the side scorelines.
- One 2 1/4" square piece of card stock.
To assemble the box:
- Adhere the DSP folded apothecary labels to the 2 1/4" square piece of card stock, one on the left edge and one on the right edge being sure to align the creases to the edge. These two pieces will become the sides of the box.
- Adhere the card stock folded apothecary labels to the 2 1/4" square piece of card stock, one on the top edge and one on the bottom edge being sure to align the creases to the edge. These two pieces will become the front and the back of the box.
- Fold up the sides, the front, and the back pieces to form box.
- Punch holes as shown in the photo below and run ribbon through the holes to close and secure the box.
- Add stamped decor to the front and give to a friend.
For my box I used Coastal Cabana card stock and the newest In Color Stack of DSP. I gave the card stock some dimension and texture with the Alphabet Press TIEF. The tag is made using one of the pieces from the Tag a Bag Kit from the big catalog which I trimmed with the Scallop Border Punch. The stamp image is from the Artisan Label set which I embossed with Gold EP. I love the yellow and aqua with a touch of gold for an updated color combination for a baby favor.

Christmas Colors for Saturday's Challenge
It's time for some yummy colors for a challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary. Seriously these are tasty in that I would not pass up some crumb cake or cobbler. I would pass on the green olives though--I hate them.
For my card I bust out the Pop and Place tags and the Perfectly You stamp set. The Pop and Place tags are a perfect fit for this color challenge and mix well with the Doilies. I layered them on a panel of Old Olive and a card base of Crumb Cake. I added the "merry" in Cherry Cobbler, a tie of Linen Thread, and Basic Pearls to finish it all up.
