How about a quick post to share my spin on the sketch challenge being hosted by Create with Connie and Mary. I have used a fun stamp set you can only get for FREE. It's called Bloomin' Marvelous and it's available in the Sale-a-Bration brochure.
My card base is Pool Party, the second layer is Pool Party Coredinations, and the patterned paper is Sycamore Street. I love the clean and simple layout which is a total departure from my usual load it up and layer it up style.

Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge
Man o man I wish you could see this card is person. It has a subtle sparkle and shine that blends perfectly with the doilies and the Hearts a Flutter images and shapes. I made this card our color challenge over at the Spring Occasions Edition at Create with Connie and Mary. The More Amore DSP was the perfect pairing with this color challenge, so that is how I started my card. Speaking of More Amore DSP I made the most luscious mini scrapbook for the Spring Occasions Edition. You can see it if you're a subscriber. If you are not a subscriber, it's never to late to join, or you can come to my house ;0)
The red heart doily comes from the More Amore DSP. They come as a full sheet that you can clip apart. You get a sheet of red and a sheet of Primrose Petals. The smaller doily heart, the trio of hearts, and the pennants come from Hearts a Flutter, which I must say is the BEST set in the Spring caty! I have to tell you I didn't plan to use three white doilies on my card. In fact I was only wanting one. Once it was all glued together I was fluffing and giving the doily a bit of dimension when I realized I had more than one. Then I saw there were three! Those things are really pressed together tightly so really check 'em before you glue them down.

Lovin' the Layers
That's right I am lovin' the layers of images on this card. I like grouping and overstamping images when I create cards and such, it's my way of "grounding" the images. I also like the smooth and clean approach to this card, which is not typical for me.
I put this card together for the color challenge being hosted by Connie and Mary. The color palette of Raspberry Ripple, Pretty in Pink, and Lucky Limeade is sweet and fresh. You've gotta try it. Pop on over to Create with Connie and Mary to see a great bunch of samples from the Design Team made for this fun challenge.

Again I have been working with some new stamps and accessories. I embossed my Island Indigo card base with the Honeycomb TIEF which is a MUST have item. Then I added paper strip ribbons cut from the Sycamore Street DSP. My tag is stamped with the new Oh Hello stamp set and is embellished with a row of Basic Pearls, a piece of Victoria Ribbon, Linen Thread, and Itty Bitty Punch Pack reinforcer, and a larger Basic Pearl peeking through a Small Heart Punch window. To keep in line with the sketch I included a strip of Flower Trim, another MUST have accessory from the Spring Catalog.
Don't forget that all this week there are blog candy opportunities at Create with Connie and Mary and free project tutorials for you to download. Click over to learn more and have fun!

Love this Layout
I designed a card for this past Christmas using this layout and really loved it. So, I decided to case myself and make another variation for Valentines :0)
I have used four patterns from the More Amore DSP. Each piece is gently sponged with Crumb Cake ink to bring out the edges and define the layers. I have included the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and the matching Framelits on the tag and the greeting comes from the Just Believe set.
Don't forget that over at Create with Connie and Mary now's the time to take advantage of the early bird savings and get so, SO many new and fresh ideas featuring all the new products from the Spring Occasions Catalog.

Sanded Soft Sweet Shabby
This card is just that--soft to the touch, sweet with sentiment, and sanded for texture. I love the laser cut heart doily from the More Amore DSP that sets up the focal point of this card. You get a full sheet of red and a full sheet of pink, but both colors are white on the back--they are cool!
When I saw the gorgeous inspiration photo at The Shabby Tea Room I just had to join their challenge this week. I have used a collection of new items to create this card: Pool Party Coredinations Card Stock, More Amore DSP, Honeycomb TIEF, Hearts a Flutter stamp set and framelits, and the Vanilla Flower Trim (total awesomeness on that trim). I have also included Victoria Crochet Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Crumb Cake ink, the Jewelry Tag punch, and the Tiny Tags stamp set.
There are plenty of amazing and cool new stamps and accessories from the Spring Occasions Catalog that I am telling you will knock your socks off. Are you looking for fabulous ideas? The entire team at Create with Connie and Mary are busy at work putting together a fabulous new Spring Edition and now is the time to get the Early Bird price savings.

Taking Liberty
Happy New Year! And, a happy new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. For the two-week challenge we are wanting to see anything made with Primrose Petals, Pool Party, and Basic Black. Did you know that the brand new More Amore DSP makes this color challenge a piece o' cake. So, with that in mind you would think this would be an easy challenge for me. But, no it's not easy when you don't have a stitch of Primrose Petals card stock in your stash!
For my card I am taking a few liberties. First, I started with a card base of Rose Red which is super close to Primrose Petals. My second liberty is the use of Basic Grey for Basic Black. I wrapped my card with a belt of this new totally luscious ribbon from the Spring Occasions Catalog. It is suppose to be two-toned but I don't see the two tones--just grey. Anyway my thought was that black was too intense with the ribbon and I wanted to keep a softer look to match the More Amore DSP, so Basic Grey it was :0)
