Dimension - I can't say it enough!
You know what is so great about this card? It's the dimensional lift that the ruffled edge adds to the focal point. Dena R. from Iowa stamped this beauty of a card using the new Soft Summer stamp set and I just love the colors and the design layout. Clean and dimensional. I have a saying "when in doubt, pop it out." Can you tell I am big on dimension? I should take stock out on Stampin' Dimensionals.

LOVE IT!
I love everything about this card. The color palette, the layout, the mix of textures, the added bling, and most of all who made it. My upline, Tami W., made this card for one of our swaps and I think it is fabulous. She used the Matchbox Messages stamp set and the coordinating exclusive new Bigs XL die called Matchbox. Both new items can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!

Technique Time! Tonight
Here is a sneak peak at one of tonight's class projects. The butterfly from Great Friend was stamped after applying the Gradation technique. Just ink with brush markers and blend the colors with a sponge dauber or stipple brush, huff to remoisten the ink, and stamp. I love the back and forward depth created with dimensionals on this card. All supplies are from Stampin' Up!

More Aura Painting
I love working with So Safron and Baja Breeze. The color combination is so perfect for spring. It is cheerful and calm. My Upsy Daisy card here is another look at a technique I call Aura Painting. Click here to learn how.

Rub Ons Can Go Anywhere
I posted about a year ago that rub ons could be put on anything. On my card I used the Hidden Garden rub ons for my focal point. The chocolate square flower is on DSP which is glued on to a chipboard square. The small white flower has been rubbed on to a button from the Button Bouquet collection. The hardest part is holding the tiny rub on and button and still having enough room for your bone folder. I don't use the popsicle sticks that come with the rub ons. Instead I use either my bone folder or an Empressor stylus tool.

KIWI CAKE!
Lots of detail in this pop up cake card. Of course I used the recently released 3-D Pop Up Cake die from Sizzix to take this average birthday card way up and over the top. Not yet available in stores, you can purchase this bigs XL die from Stampin' Up! I also used a texture plate pre-inked on my card front to get both an image and texture-this is too much fun. Enjoy!

A Walk in the Park with a Great Friend
This card shows off two new great products in Stampin' Up!'s new Mini Occasions Catalog. The new DSP is called Walk in the Park and the stamp set is Great Friend. I also added a corduroy button accent. They come in lots of colors and are a fun new accessory. Need a Mini? Leave me a comment and I'll see that you get a copy.
