For Nancy B

Hello Nancy,

I read your comment and the measurement for the pink square panel which you punch with the scallop boarder is 2 5/8". Center the punch in the square and repeat on each side. The card has two small black panels. For one, I used the 1 3/8" punch and the larger is a 1 3/4" cut square. The white focal point was punched with the 1 1/4" punch.

Thanks for visiting my blog,
Elizabeth

Sale-a-Bration Here We Come

Sale-a-Bration begins in just a few days. With a $50 purchase you can choose a free stamp set, paper, or ribbon. This card is made using one of the four free SAB sets. It's called Polka Dot Punches. Every stamp in the set coordinates with a punch. Also on this card you'll see I have used new DSP and ribbon, both of which are free during SAB. All supplies are from Stampin' Up!

Shadow Box Stampin'

This card is direct and simple in it's layout format. What makes it sophisticated is the "love" focal point. At first I called the process of layering a series of cut out images "relief stamping." At my class somebody said "it's like a shadow box." I like that term much better, so let's call it Shadow Stampin'.  All supplies are from Stampin' Up!

Aura Painting

The focal point of the clean and simple layout looks difficult, but it's not. Start by spritzing a piece of water color paper with water. Then ink up an image using a light to medium dye based color. Stamp image on spritzed paper being sure to rock the stamp from side to side and up and down. Let the paper dye completely before reinking in a darker color and stamp directly over the first image. Use a Stamp-a-majig if necessary. Double click on the top photo for a close up view. All supplies for this card are from Stampin' Up!

Heart Topiary

I call this my heart topiary tree card. I used the four pack of Sizzlet heart dies for my Big Shot to quickly cut three different shape hearts from the Bella Rose DSP. First, I folded each heart in half. Then I adhered each heart by only putting glue on the two side bumps and the bottom point. I did not lay the heart flat, but instead used the fold to create a "tent" like shape to give the hearts dimension. I put the top heart on my card front first, then the middle, and then the bottom. The ribbon accents are stuck on with a mini glue dot.  Walla--a cute quick heart topiary.

Scraps of Strips

These scrap strips of DSP were laying on my table just as I have them on my card. I thought it was a perfect color combination, so I made a very fast Valentine. The size of the card is slightly narrower from the standard 4.25" as I was using scraps. There is no glitter on this card, but you have to love the bling!

I am Back and Ready to Stamp

Cleaning up from the Holidays takes a little while. But, I got all my decor wrapped and put away and had some time to stamp. Check out my "box in a bag" party favor/3-dimensional project. This is one of our class projects for this week. What you can't see is the free style dry embossing on the heart--super cool. All supplies come from Stampin' Up!
