irResistable Technique

Resist embossing is a simple technique that is the basis for many unique approaches to creating focal points or backgrounds for stamped projects. Last month we reviewed this technique and in the coming months we'll be combining resist embossing with other techniques, such as ghosting, for one of a kind backgrounds. Be sure to attend June's Technique Time! class to learn more.

This card's focal point is a simple example of resist embossing. All supplies are from SU!

Enjoy the Simple Cards in Life

This simple, clean card was given to me by my awesome stampin' friend Julie B. I really like her use of the white ink cartridge and the Daisy Dash jumbo wheel for the background.

Priceless

This citrus inspired color scheme card is one card we made at Cathy K's demo. She wanted to learn about dry embossing. We made the flower without a light box. To do this we used an Empressor to gently scratch the cardstock, which was placed on top of the brass template, to reveal the shape of the image. Then we pressed firmer into the brass template to completely emboss the shape.

Funky Color Combo

So, for today I am sharing a card with an unusual color combo for me. I am not a fan of Garden Green, but I kind of like the use of it here. I also don't use SU!'s buttons very often, but lately I am going through them as fast as I go through brads and bling.
