Super Sketch

I'm feeling in a spooky mood, bwahahahaha, so I went to work to make a Halloween card!  I wasn't in the mood for any oranges or yellows; I wanted something a bit different, so I went darker and murky and totally dimensional.  This sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments helped me come up with today's card.

My colors are Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black, and Whisper White and the images are from the Among the Branches stamp set.  I cut the star with non other than the Star Framelits.  There is lots of sponging with all four colors and glitter.

A Little Late

I was super inspired by a project that Shelli Gardner included in her stamp presentation back at Convention over a year ago.  I am a little late and it's been a long time since summer 2014, but I finally had the perfect opportunity to incorporate her project in one of my stamp events.  Not too long ago I had a customer appreciation party where we stamped several gorgeous projects all inspired by Shelli's "Choose Happiness" journal (scroll down a few pics).
Since it was a customer appreciation party I bundled everyone's supplies in a GORGEOUS package.  The tag, bow, and ribbons were attached to the belly band which easily slid off to allow access to the contents.  When they were done, the finished projects fit back in the box (extra large gift boxes on the Clearance Rack, 3 for $1.59) and the bands went back on so they could take home their treasures in total style.
My original plan was to hold my customer appreciation day at the end of this past year's Sale-a-Bration.  With the crazy days of life I finally booked the event in August--I told you I was a little late.  I stuck with my original plan to use the Artisan Embellishment Kits from the Occasions Catalog, which I hoarded, for the projects even though I was totally behind the eight ball.
Here is the journal I totally cased from Shelli's presentation.  I made only a few adjustments to fit the products I had on hand.
The stampin' was not done directly on the Mini Muslin Bags.  Instead I stamped on Iron On Transfer Paper, cut the Flower Fest images with the coordinating Framelits, and then ironed the pieces on.  The results are stunning!

Cut in Half

For my take on the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge I cut my card in half using the Hello You Framelits.  But before I did that I inked up the Brushstrokes background stamp with Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Markers.  I stamped the image on Whisper White and then it was ready to cut in two.  Behind the word negative I layered in a piece of Corrugated Crumb Cake card stock and then added that to a top fold Cajun Craze card base.  To bring it all together I included a sentimental greeting from the Watercolor Wings stamp set and pearl centered flowers punched from Hello Honey card stock with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Elegantly Easy

Hello and welcome everyone to our Monday Montage Blog Hop!  I am happy to share my elegantly easy Christmas card made with amazing products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

First I started with the heavier weight Whisper White card stock for my card base.  Then I added strips of Winter Wonderland Vellum which I adhered with tiny dollops of Fine-Tip Glue placed behind the printed details to hide the adhesive.  For the focal point I heat embossed the "happy Christmas" greeting from the Oh, What Fun stamp set on more Whisper White with gold powder.  The Snowflake Element is embellished with two stars punched from Gold Glimmer Paper and a Basic Pearl.  I love the simple shoestring tie with the Gold Cording Trim.  I am glad Stampin' Up! brought back a thin cord it's so perfect for everything Christmas.
