2013 Artisan Finalist Project #7

I can't say it enough, but I love LOVE the way this card turned out. I should share that I started this card by casing myself. You can see my original card here. I had been playin' with the Canvas Creations and it was handy on my table. When I saw the canvas I grabbed my brayer and Midnight Muse ink and went to town to create denim. The edges were too harsh so I pulled the threads of the canvas to create the frayed look. While the brayer and ink were out I coated a White Lace Doily and was way jazzed with the intense color. The entire canvas panel was stitched to a Midnight Muse card base with black thread. I used black thread on all of my entries with stitching because I was too lazy to go grab a different spool.
For the greeting at the bottom I stamped it first with Jet Black Staz On and then I stamped the same image with Whisper White ink and embossed it with White EP. To get this just right I used my Stamp-a-ma-gig. I call that tool my Stamp-a-magic because it is just that--magic!

  2. Oh, I love this, Elizabeth! What a great way to use the canvas, and I love how you stamped the sentiment. I had to laugh at your thread color comment -- it's too much trouble to change the bobbin and thread! I totally understand and agree.
