Halloween Star Wreath

I am joining the Great Pumpkin Blog Hop again this week and sharing my "Happy Halloween" star wreath.  It is made from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP along with the Simply Scored tool, the Rosette Bigz XL Die, Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies, and a flat wooden 12" wreath ring.  The finished wreath measures about 30" across and is WAY COOL.

Each point of the star is made with (1) sheet of 12" x 12" DSP and is scored every 1".  The center medallion/rosette/lolly measures 10" across and the First Edition is 12" across.  The banner measures 3 1/2" x 20" and was shaped by first coloring heavily with an Aqua Painter and then by spritzing with shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol.  I love the spiders with the Basic Rhinestones.  They give a creepy crawly look takes the wreath up a notch.

We made these wreaths at my Monster Mash Madness class back in September.  If you are in the San Jose area be sure to join us at my Only Ornaments class.

Be sure to see my witches hat that is part of this years Halloween decor.
